“Pancakes are HUGE! Grits are nice and creamy. $3. for a good-sized cup. Used to go to Skillets but they reduced the amount to EXACTLY 6 oz (said the manager when I asked). 6 oz for $5,95. I sent them back and Watched her throw them away. I told my waitress "Tomorrow I will order the LARGE SIZE. For more money. And send them back. And watch them throw them away. LOL (not really, but my waitress laughed and said "Do it!" Nope. Not going back. Max's Table for me!“
“Delightful local coffee shop. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the ingredients. I had chicken salad on a bed of fresh greens and all the extras, walnuts, avocado, cranberries, red onion and a zesty citrus dressing they call their own. Delicious!“
“It is always our first choice for breakfast or lunch! The General Manager, Patricia, is so very kind, attentive, and friendly! She makes us feel welcome and appreciated on each visit! This restaurant is always clean, the food is excellent, and the bathrooms are spotless!!“
“We went there 2x the several days we were down here. The place is very busy in the morning, but the most we had to wait was about 20 minutes (which was fine because the weather outside is wonderful)! The staff were all pleasant and they run this place like a well oiled machine. Food was great too, and you could do lunch or breakfast all day!“
“What a fun and quaint coffee shop in downtown Sarasota. So many tasty goodies to choose from. I recommend the pistachio cake (I will be back just for that). The staff is kind and the coffee is spectacular. It's a cozy place to get together with loved ones or a great little meeting spot for a business meeting.“
“I have enjoyed Blvd Cafe for breakfast and lunch. Love the croissants and latte and both the grilled salmon salad and flank steak with salad were delicious lunch entrees! The owner Mica is gracious and the wait staff hard-working and friendly. Great neighborhood, friendly vibe.“
“There are lots of tables and they sat people pretty far apart to keep everyone safe. There's a few tables outside too which is nice. We were very impressed. The staff wore masks and were very kind and of course the food was excellent.“
“Green Zebra Cafe is a fantastic place with great food, smoothies, and even better people. Working on the island, it's a pleasure having a place that consistently provides 5/5 food and service. The Boss wrap and the Green Power smoothie are among my favorites. 100% would recommend.“
“This First Watch provides customer service that is second to none. Every one of their employees that we encounter are super friendly and they work hard to make sure that you are totally satisfied and happy! Hats off to the management! We dont go to too many places that do it this well. Oh and the food is incredible too! We highly recommend this restaurant!“
“The First Watch in downtown Sarasota is the one I’m reviewing. I’ve had mostly good experiences here. The food is good and although it can be kind of noisy, the atmosphere is pleasant. The million dollar bacon and bloody maries are both first rate. I’ve had two really bad experiences here and the last one might mark the end of my relationship with this restaurant. If you go on a weekday morning you’ll probably be fine. If you go on a weekend morning, you’re playing Russian roulette with your dining experience. Some of the wait staff are good or at least average. The problem is that nearly half of the wait staff don’t know what they’re doing. The first bad experience I had was with a waitress who didn’t speak English well enough to take our order. She was a really nice person, but if you need help taking an order, you shouldn’t be a waitress in the busy section of a restaurant. She also brought the bill with our food. The restaurant has a policy of bringing the check halfway through your meal that incentivizes the wait staff to turn tables over. It’s a really bad policy. The last time I ate there (possibly ever?) we had a waiter who was so bad at his job, we stopped eating and left halfway through the meal. He brought the check with the food, got both of our orders wrong, and couldn’t figure out how to bring the person I was eating with a black coffee. Mind you, this guy had the largest section on a Saturday morning. My advice: if you want something decent on a weekday, go ahead and give First Watch a try; if you like sure things or it’s a weekend, go to Boulevard Cafe, Station 400, or C’est La Vie. They all have better food and service.“
“Breakfast outdoors under the Live Oak was excellent. I had the count of money Cristo with potatoes, and my friend got an omelette. Our food was excellent— even the toast was great, hot and buttered, and perfectly toasted— and I felt the menu was a good mix of traditional breakfast food with a few interesting flourishes.“
“Drive from Upstate NY for a vacation. Found this place on accident and we really enjoyed it. Really liked our waitress Ashley!! She was super sweet and very attentive to our needs! We’ll be back before we head back tomorrow morning. Thanks again ❤️“
“Exactly what every city needs: a great, cozy diner-type restaurant with delicious food! Menu is large and vast: something for every person on this menu. From classic egg breakfasts to blintzes to wrap sandwiches, fresh pressed juices, in-house bakery items and so much more. Tons of pancake and waffle varieties. Alcoholic beverages too: mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, etc. Very popular brunch spot so you may have to wait a bit if it’s a busy time.“
“This is a good restaurant, unfortunately the young man who waited on us did not care. I ordered 2 poached eggs on one piece of dry, rye toast. I did get poached eggs but buttered bread on the side. Not life shattering but not my order. The other young lady waiting tables was exceptional and offered assistance, she did a great job.“
“Loved this little establishment, it is well kept, clean , comfortable and just lovely. The girls were super welcoming and they even had free samples when you come in of their baked goods , the lemon bars are to die for♡ will be back for more with the rest of the office #supportlocalbusinesses #sarasotafl #theoasiscafe&bakery“
“Bonjour is a not so hidden gem in Siesta Key. The perfect way to start your morning. Crepes that are crispy, warm and soft paired with a fresh side and a latte. We stopped in twice during our stay on the key and enjoyed both visits. The patio is really relaxing in the shade and the inside is charming.Hope to visit again!“
