“Celebrated my 30th birthday here and it was by far the best food we ate in Key West. We ordered the Asiago bread and squid for our appetizers. The squid was FABULOUS!!! I’ve been craving it since! For dinner we did the wahoo, swordfish, prime rib and chicken. All of which we were each raving about to each other! The atmosphere was dimmed candle lit tables and our server was great! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to taste high end food and it be up to par! Will definitely be back!“

Rooms have everything you need, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, beach chairs, beach towels, information on local attractions, I could go on and on… Oh and the fact that the rum bar is right downstairs is very convenient, maybe too convenient, lol! 🍹🥴“

“My husband talked me into going to Hemingway's hangout. I thought ordering the Sloppy Joe's sandwich would be a good meal, but catsup on a bun that cost me $15.49 was a ripoff. My 5 onion rings that cost me $10.49 were doughy. My husband ordered a fish basket that was overcooked and looked like it was for a kid. I won't recommend the food, but the entertainment and atmosphere were great. I recommend a drinks only visit.“

I have enjoyed the British film Kinky Boots, back in 2005. The Gay Parade in Manhattan was jaw dropping. I have seen men dressed in gowns, wigs, makeup, jewelry... But must of all, they focus and willed themselves to feel and be absolutely femenine. The walk, the movement is jaw dropping.

“This is one of my husband’s favorite spots in Key West, so it’s a must stop every time we’re there. He loves the history, the music and all of the stories. We were just there to celebrate our Birthdays and our Anniversary and my husband wanted to put a dollar on the wall to commemorate. The bartender, where my husband was having a drink, says to get a marker from the gift shop where you buy the shirts. I saw someone grab a marker from a jar and I did the same thing, not realizing it said tip on the jar. The man working that area called me rude and said a few other unkind words to me. I explained that I didn’t see the tip sign for the marker right away but I’d gladly tip and he said don’t bother. Needless to say, I didn’t take the marker to sign our dollar and that dollar marker tip costed the sale of two t-shirts and a sun visor, along with a couple more drinks. We will be back because that place means so much to my husband, and I understand that everyone has a bad day, but my word of advice, treat your customers better.“

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Wheelchair accessible. This place is part of the huge Hilton property that offers several hotels, pools, hot tub, etc.“

“Great hotel, and accessible to the disabled - we neither sleep well nor eat well, the restaurant was well placed with four swimming pools.
Especially the famous waitress Kate who was very kind and very beautiful. If you go to Florida I recommend this heavenly hotel

“While staying at the Hyatt Centric, my wife and I took full advantage of the bar, spa, and pool. There was a server walking the pool area taking orders, and she was very timely and on top of our orders.We loved our experience. I also loved the roosters, personally.On our first night from the Hyatt, we ordered room service from here, and the order was quick, accurate, and tasty. Also, they didn't skimp on the to-go wine! Awesome service.It was so good that we ate there again 2 days later and took in the views.“

“This is a joint, a bar, a saloon, a gin mill, locals kinda dive bar where folks get together, play pool , drink, catch up with one another open until 4 am. My kind of place. I'm a traveler (not tourist) visiting America at ground level in my RV. As I travel I enjoy really experiencing where I'm at . I do some culture things , well down here this trip by didn't get to go scuba diving because of sinus but I did finally manage to catch the red-headed stranger and after Willie Nelson did his thing I went looking for local flavor. And this is truly one of those. I've talked to I talked to locals there could have been coming for more than a couple of decades I think as it's been under different names. They allow smoking and indeed many of the denizens had one sticking out of their mouth at some point during the night. I met an absolutely Splendid wonderful Grand d a m e who introduced herself as Tootie and described herself as a barfly. Such an understatement even as wonderful as that word is she was one of the finest bar flies I've ever met. She was rail thin her main diet Aid being camel non filters . Wise , soulful , full of good cheer and humor the kind of lady that gives a certain middle class blue collar Elegance to a local Watering Hole. We started talking about her cigarettes which I hadn't seen in a while and she offered me one. I've been more than 20 years without smoking and I appreciated the offer but I declined. I don't personally partake anymore but I don't believe the government really belongs in the bedroom, The Gin Mill or our freaking pocketbooks. Life in America is about choices. You find what fits and you go there. I really felt right at home there even though I wasn't part of the crowd people were friendly within their own sphere of influence bar stool to Barstool and a few made casual inquiries which I answered politely with the joy being able to bask in another areas Public House. Man I really love that place. I forget the current name because I mispronounced the old name Shimp Daddy's (as shrimp) that Tootie spent two cigarettes trying to school my out of town ears to drop that R in there and then she told me some of the history and that's why I had gone there. God Bless America and every bar or other establishment like this all over. It's a great place to go in, sit down, shut up and listen to Key West. Good night tooty“
