Dark, laidback, and friendly. The Pirate's Punch is some kind of nuclear yellow, fruity drink (not a slushy) that goes down very easily. They've got an excellent gift shop inside the bar that really can't be beat. Don't forget to try and get a quarter into the fish's mouth high above and outside the entrance. It's extremely difficult but I saw it done. One of the better bars anywhere.
Was crawling back to the cruise ship when I saw the sign saying oldest saloon in Florida. Had to stop.If in Key West you need to take a moment to visit this place just for the history. Captain Tony led an exciting life.Supposedly the bar even was where Jimmy Buffett got his start.Be sure to bring a dollar bill so that you can sign it and add it to the collection. Or if you're daring, you can leave some other things hanging from the ceiling.
