The pita bread was the star of the show. It was served piping hot. It had a crisp exterior with a warm slightly chewy interior. It was the best pita I have had on a gyro. The meat was tasty on its own, but the slices are pretty thin. The flavor of the meat got lost among the other sandwich toppings. At a $15 price point, I would have hoped for a little more meat. That said, it was still a tasty gyro. I am interested in visiting again to try their baba ghannouj.

Laura was great!! Food was very authentic!! Yes, price is high but I’m sure she doesn’t shop at Walmart for her ingredients! Looking for fast food go to McDonald’s πŸ˜‚

The gyro is decent, particularly the meat was tender and flavorful and pita fresh with a good crisp. Although at $15+ for a regular sized gyro, I don't think the value is there to justify going again.

The food is great. Best spanakopita that i have ever had. The service is good, just never seen the lady smile or show any sense of personality. Dining room is a little small. The food makes up for any short comings though.

Good food, but extremely slow. I even ordered online hoping that would help. Good luck staying within a one hour lunch break. πŸ™πŸΎ

I got the deluxe gyro after someone recommended and I was very disappointed. I probably won't go back

Decent gyro place. The portions aren't the best but the gyros are still good. I just feel like you kind of get ripped off here by how much meat they give you.

The issue I had was I needed to use my phone to get the prices on the menu, since their menu board had no prices.

I ordered online at 10:30 and it said the order would be ready at 11:15. When I arrived at 11:15, the doors were locked. When the gal finally arrived and opened the door she was very unpleasant. She asked if I had the large order and when I said "I did", she rolled her eyes and grimaced. I have never seen someone so inconvenienced by me giving them money. She appeared to be the only employee there. The restaurant was freezing because she didn't turn on the heat until she got there. When my order was ready, 45 minutes after it was supposed to be, she said "you need to call the day before. We are too small to do large orders (7 gyros, 2 salads, 1 side salad). I told her I wouldn't be back and she said "that's great." I asked her if this was everything in my order and she said "you'll have to check." When I asked if she really couldn't recall what she just put in front of me, she stomped to the back. I do not recommend. You can find delicious food with appropriate customer service elsewhere

VERY DISAPPOINTING experience there at Captain Pete's. My wife and I went in, and each ordered a Gyro with a side of pita fries. Gyros took 40+ mins to come out, which is no problem. However, when the waitress dropped them off at our table, she said she would be right back with the pita fries. After about 15 minutes and essentially almost done with the gyros, I went up to the front counter and politely asked the waitress if the pita fries were ready. Rudely, with attitude, she responded, "When they are ready, I'll bring them out!"

Her rudeness wasn't just with us either. We observed her with multiple customers who were there picking up food, and when they would say "Thank you," she would just turn around and walk away. A simple "You're welcome" seems appropriate, yeah? There was also a gentleman at the counter talking to her about something, and she just walked away rolling her eyes.
We all have bad days, which is understandable, but it takes a special kind of effort to be as rude as she was.

The gyro I got was greasy, small for the price, and had wilty, mushy shredded lettuce. The taste wasn't great. I also ordered a side of pita fries and the bag was tiny for $5. Wasn't even one whole piece of pita. The total price of a lunch of a gyro and pita fries was over $21. It was NOT worth that. I'd peg the value of the meal at $14 max, even in this economy.
