Quaint sushi lounge downtown. Friendly atmosphere. Only drawback is the sushi was a little bland. No flair or signature taste.

I really liked Jasmine, the environment, and the food was good. But I do think there are better places in Tallahassee for sushi. The place is pretty small so the couple of times I've gone I've usually had to wait a bit, but nothing insane. The side salad I really like because the sauce is light yet has flavor. I probably wouldn't come to eat anything here that isn't sushi or a bento box just because I think those are their best plates, and for Asian food there are way better places. The sushi was fresh and tasted great, and the wait for the food wasn't long. The server was nice and friendly. Parking on the street usually isn't too bad unless it's about lunch time during the week.

I hate having to post bad reviews but I was extremely disappointed with the food at this place. I ordered delivery from them. We had sushi, ramen, and dumplings with a miso soup and salad. The food was terrible and we couldn't even finish it. We are now having to order another meal after spending $40 on this order. The miso tasted like luke warm water with no flavor, the ramen was disgusting, all the dishes had zero flavor and were subpar to every other restaurant of this cuisine we have ordered from. I'm hoping this was just a bad night but I won't be trying it again to find out.

Really cool place. It feels like youre in a cool Asian restaurant in downtown NY. Good food, decent price for sushi.

One of the best date spots I had been to yet. Atmosphere is Chill, servers are personable, and the dinner specials are fantastic deals!

Jasmine Cafe isn't the best sushi I have had in Tallahassee, but the miso soup was very good. This is a good place to go after class or after a night out because it's right off college ave. If you're not super picky about your sushi they have a great lunch deal which comes with two rolls of your choice, and a soup or salad for $9. They have a similar dinner special for $11 that you can get Boothe sushi rolls and the soup and salad both come with the meal. All in all it's not a bad place to eat if you're looking for something quick and casual I just wish the sushi was a little colder/fresh and not as much rice. I will most likely go back again and try the roll my friends got (crunch and roll) because it looked very delicious.

I came here Friday night for a late dinner with one other person and we were not all that impressed. We arrived around 9 p.m. and they were absolutely slammed! It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come introduce herself, so we ordered our food along with our drinks. I ordered the dinner plate with two sushi rolls, miso soup, and a side salad... about 20 minutes after ordering, we asked the waitress to check on our soups and she said that she was behind and had to make about 20 of them (I guess everyone in the restaurant was also waiting on soup?) Ten or so minutes later, they brought out the soups and salads together, which was kind of strange, but we were starving and starting to get hangry, so hey, whatever. The soup tasted okay, it had a rich flavor, but I didn't love the tofu. The salad was far and away my favorite part of the meal. I opted for the creamy garlic dressing, which was super bold and rich tasting. It was like another 20 minutes until they brought our sushi... We couldn't figure out why it took so long to make the sushi! I got the Philly roll and the California roll. The Philly roll was good; I loved the cream cheese, which gave it a rich flavor. The California roll was probably the worst I've ever had. It had no flavor and I had to drown every piece in soy sauce to make it edible. Partway through the meal, our waitress changed with no explanation, I guess she got caught up in the back. As we were leaving, another table asked us if we had to wait forever for our food because they had been waiting for about 30 minutes with no updates. It was just a very strange experience and I'll probably go elsewhere for sushi next time I'm in town. I do recommend the salad though, that dressing was killer.

We just finished our dinner and it was wonderful! The spring rolls are chilled, fresh with sushi not the usual fried. Very refreshing and pleasant. Lettuce wraps were yummy and dripping down my arm. I don't have that skill down pat yet.

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. Rich but not overpowering in flavor. It was well rolled with a beautiful display. 'Hot's' were hot but not miserably so. Not a great wine selection at all. Good service but not incredibly friendly.

Jasmines is a great spot to go for a decently priced meal or sushi, but I have never been overly impressed with the food. I do love that they have $1 sake bombs on Sundays and Mondays. On my last experience here I wasn't so happy with my service. I came here with my boyfriend for a date night on a Sunday for dinner and some sake bombs. The server was a bit rude and seemed to be rushing us out. It wasn't late and the restaurant wasn't too busy so I don't know what the rush was. After we finished our food she immediately brought us the check without asking if we wanted anything else (we were still planning on drinking a little more) when we told her we still wanted to do more sake bombs she seemed aggravated. Maybe she was just having a rough day but it left a bad taste in our mouths.
