Mom & Dad's | Italian Restaurant

I bring members of a Tallahassee Meetup group (Friends, Fun & Food) to Mom & Dads at least one or two times per month. We always request seating in the bar area where there are fully set tables and padded bench and chair seating for up to 14 adults. It has excellent ambiance because of table lighting, very comfortable seating, and very low background sounds allowing conversation among our entire group as well as direct conversation to the bar area attendant. That provides very quick service for both drink and food requests. We frequent many restaurants each month in addition to Mom & Dads and yet it remains one of our favorites due to their combination of seating, a great menu selection, full satisfaction with their well-plated entrees and bar drinks, Happy Hour prices at times, and exceptional service. There are very few restaurants that equal or exceed them.

Mom and Dad's completely blew us away. The dishes were phenomenal and cooked to perfection, but what really set them apart was the staff. They went above and beyond by staying open late for us on a slow night when they were planning to close early. They made us feel so special and welcome. You rarely find that level of genuine hospitality and kindness these days. We will definitely be back and cannot recommend them enough!

This was the best restaurant dinning experience in Tallahassee. The service, the food and the atmosphere were all just like a 5-star hotel. The GM Nick personally gave us discount coupons, shared the history of the property, among other conversations- what an incredible experience!! This is our new frequent dinning place.

First time here and cannot wait to come back! Amazing staff that feel like family, plus the delicious food and drinks. Staff took their time with us while we sampled many dishes. Highly recommend the fried lobster ravioli, fettuccini alfredo and meatballs. Also loved the Italian margarita and pomegranate martini, plus some yummy wine samples. Highly recommend!

The food and atmosphere was amazing. I highly recommend the salmon dinner. And the shrimp and angel hair pasta was amazing. Service was lacking a bit we had to ask for refills on our drinks and had to ask that dirty dishes get cleaned from our table. Will definitely go back to this restaurant. Recommend it to anyone.

Our server was attentive and the manager is super friendly. The food and drinks we received were also top tier and nicely priced for happy hour. I am grateful the new rewards program has started as well. My chicken piccata is a new favorite I will get moving forward.

We had an excellent experience. We used their private room for our kid's rehearsal dinner. Nick did a great job walking us through all the options and his staff did an amazing job! Everyone had a fantastic time!!

I always take my 92-year-old mom here and we’re never disappointed. Once again, the service was outstanding. Entrees were good and plentiful, and the orange cake was moist and delicious. We enjoyed the quiet and sophisticated atmosphere as much as the food.

First time here and we had a magnificent experience. Nick, the general manager, was amazing such a sweet soul with great energy. He was super welcoming and made me and my friend feel super comfortable. Ruby took great care of us as well; her service was excellent and she was very nice. We will definitely be back. Overall experience was a 10/10.

The restaurant is lovely inside with a calming yet luxurious ambiance. The service is top notch. Nick is the general manager of this location and I loved how personable but professional he was. Our waitress Ruby was extremely efficient and attentive to our needs. I especially loved the calming jazz music playing throughout our visit and the amazing quality of food, drink, and dessert. I especially enjoyed the turtle cheesecake. I will be returning again. Loved it!

My husband and I always enjoy our visits here, especially when we can grab a seat at the bar. Brittany is a great bartender, friendly, engaging, and makes the experience fun with great conversation, excellent service, and recommendations.

The blackened salmon is one of my favorites, perfectly seasoned and cooked every time. We also enjoy ordering from the bar menu and taking advantage of the drink specials . If you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and feel genuinely welcomed, this is definitely worth a visit.
