Excellent experience
Very average....
The best & most underrated Italian restaurant in Tampa in my opinion. Awesome pasta & seafood Italian dishes, the best calamari I've tasted in years, attentive friendly Servers that are well versed about the menu selections, & scrumptious desserts, especially the tiramasu. The vibe is juiced & 💯 South Tampa & Hyde Park. Ava never has disappointmented me as an Italian dining experience.

Ava Tampa is an exceptional Italian restaurant serving fresh, made-from-scratch dishes. The grilled octopus offers a flavorful experience, and the cheese and meats board is a generous and delicious selection. The bucatini is a standout. The bread service is a must-have; the bread is straight out of the oven with a wonderful texture and a touch of sweetness, though some find it more like a fried churro on the outside. The tagliatelle a la bolognese is always fantastic, and the pork chop is tender, juicy, and flavorful. The pasta is amazing, and the drinks are equally good. The restaurant offers an outstanding ambiance, with attentive and professional staff, especially in private dining rooms that provide a great atmosphere for conversation. While some portions may vary and not everyone was impressed by the bread tray or service, Ava Tampa remains a popular choice for special occasions, thanks to its great food and inviting setting.
