Pizza was watery and sloppy, which may have been due to the addition of chili oil. Cheese came off the top of the pizza in clumps. Wife and I both commented that it was the worst pizza either had eaten. Local smells were unpleasant. Tables close together
We have lunch and everything we asked to split was divided in the kitchen. The pizza was wonderful and the waitress was familiar with the ingredients of all the dishes.
The ambience reminded me of a small restaurant in a big city. The food was great, and my wife and kids were happy. Couldn't ask for a better experience. I will definitely be back.
This is a lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Great service, great menu and nice wines. Really enjoyed eating here and hope to visit again.
Great dinging experience for a quick lunch. Hostess Charleston was a delight and the entire staff was welcoming. The Whipped Limoncello Pizza and the Penne Alla Vodka are both amazing!
Bavaro is a charming little restaurant in Tampa. We go there before shows at the Straz theater. We park at the Poe garage, walk to the restaurant, enjoy a lovely dinner, and then go to the theater for a show. We have been doing this for a few times. The food is always delicious. I highly recommend the lemoncello ricotta pizza! Service is good, location is good, they have indoor and outdoor seating. The place is really small! We always make a reservation.
Consistently lovely service and perfectly chewy pizza crust and al dente pasta. Great for pre or post Tampa Theater event. Outside seating is shaded and relaxing. Inside is not too noisy, bare brick walls and cozy when I went during the colder season late at night.
Caprese salad was incredible. So well seasoned... every bite had a burst of flavor. My limone pasta was delicious and a huge portion. My SO's pizza had a great flavor but was a tad under done. Totally understand this is a fork and knife pizza but even the most “cooked” parts like the crust turned back into dough when you ate it.
This has been the best authentic Italian food we've had since getting back from Italy earlier this year. The bolognese, margherita pizza and tiramisu were all amazing. The service was superb right along with the food. Thanks for transporting us back to the trip of a lifetime on a regular Saturday evening.
I might come back to Tampa just to visit this restaurant! The pizza is phenomenal - literally the BEST pizza that I’ve ever had. The crust is perfect, all the toppings are super fresh, and you cannot beat the san marzano tomatoes for an authentic Italian flare.

A party of four had an ok overall experience but we were expecting more from this place based on reviews. Service was not good although the restaurant was not full. We needed to call our waitress several times to get the status of our food, ask for drinks, or even have the used dishes removed from the table. We ordered featured spritz which were good along with a bottle of Primitivo which we liked. Appetizers were ok although in my opinion the oyster were overcooked. The tagliatelle al limone and a la bolognese were very good, same for the salmon. The seafood pasta was very dry. We skipped desert.
The girl dinner meal is amazing!!!! Would definitely come back. Great service and voldka pasta.
Good pizza made quick to go. It gets very busy but it's because it's worth it.

Ordered delivery from their site. they made it 30 mins before the driver showed up and obviously don't keep it under heat. i call and after dealing with their phone bot (annoying). the girl on the phone tells me its not their problem its uber. yeah ok. never spending money with Bravaros again. Safety seal was also open. take responsibility for your product. food completely cold and stale and i live 10 blocks north of downtown. get a heat lamp or something. or maybe be a pizza place and deliver your own pies? what kind of world are we living in???

We visited Bavaro’s for the first time today. The atmosphere was great — very cozy and inviting — but the service fell short. We had to ask for the same things three times, and my pasta dish wasn’t warm; only the center was hot. Our server didn’t make any recommendations and seemed to rush us to order because the kitchen was closing at 10, even though we saw other guests being seated around 9:30–9:40. Overall, it was a bit disappointing given how nice the restaurant feels.
The tomato soup was the star of the show!
