This place is wonderful! We recently put in a catering order for chopped pork, chopped beef, and smoked chicken - all so yummy. Not sure how they do it, but the pork was very moist and tender and the other meat had wonderful flavor as well. They were super friendly and even gave us all the plates, cutlery, napkins, and sauces at no extra charge to us. We will be ordering from them again! Well done, Big John's!

My first time eating from this establishment.It was a no for me, the only thing that had a lil bit of flavor was the macaroni, the string beans taste like water no seasoning, and the ribs were tasteless, and TOUGH! ??

Best BBQ in Tampa hands down and worth the drive from anywhere nearby. We drive across town to eat here. There are always lots of people around even though it’s a little rough in this particular area.
I got 2 rib sandwiches and a Kid meal. I've gotten their barbecue years ago, it was delicious back in the day. But!! There was a big difference in the taste this time. The Mac and cheese was good.

Ordered at 1:15pm approx 3/21/23: 1/2 Rack of Ribs. Not a fall off the bone style Ribs. A little Tough. Order #79Order #80 asked Cashier if they had Brisket! Said the Beef Sandwich comes sliced or Chopped. Asked for Slice for my 81 year old mother. She couldn't eat the extremely tough sandwich. Was not Brisket like what we get at Mission Barbeque in Ocala. Ribs not like others, had a good odor to them, but not worth the stop.I had my hopes set that we finally found another Barbeque Joint after reading an article as One Of The Best around in Florida, I can't say that I agree after this visit.

I ordered a chicken sandwich and when I opened it to take a bite I bit into bone ? They chopped the breast with the wing off the chicken and put it between bread, I WAS not expecting that. The taste was good. So I won't order the chicken sandwich again. Overall everything else was fine.

Seen this place on Southern Living. We have to visit Moffit every 3 weeks from 2 hours away and it just so happens this place is right down the road. This place now makes that experience wonderful for us. Wife is now looking forward to come eat here every 3 weeks giving us a good reason to look forward to what were once dreadful trips. Thanks a million. And we look forward to seeing you in the future after we are done with moffit. Will even bring friends to share the joy and absolute best BBQ in the state.
