When I tell your you these were so good! I was amazed . I'm Haitian and eat Akra and marinade all of the time, but these are definitely different. I wanted more but I don't need a wide back. Bon Zanmi Restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes, including exceptional fish patties, flavorful Legume, and hearty meals like fried snapper and birria pizza. The restaurant features a spacious setting with a bar area, creating a comfortable atmosphere for diners. The staff is friendly and welcoming, with staff members like Rejine providing great service and quick, hot food. Customers praise the food for reminding them of childhood flavors and highlight the generous portions, which are often enough to take home for later. The menu includes dishes like fried pork with rice and bean sauce or rice and peas, served with fresh, crispy banan peze. One reviewer enjoyed the fried turkey with Djon Djon rice, sweet plantains, and spicy pikliz, noting the turkey was perfectly deep-fried yet tender and the rice one of the best Caribbean dishes they had. The restaurant is especially good for families on a budget who want tasty food. While there may be some issues with reservations and server attentiveness, the overall experience is positive. The ambiance feels inviting and authentic, and the restaurant appears to host events at night, making it a great spot to enjoy Haitian flavors in a cozy setting.
