Gio's Italian Restaurant

We love this place, the food and the staff. But if a large party is there prepare to be ignored. It's small and personal, and the big party bucks make the difference on service. The piano player is wonderful and our long time friend. We will never go again on any holiday.

Best place for Italian food in the Bay Area by far. My wife and I have eaten at Gio's for four years now and we are never disappointed. Small, intimate setting, with a live keyboard player. Reminds us of the Italian restaurants we grew up going to in NJ. The one and only problem with Gio's is they Never clean the ceiling by the vents. We've been coming to this charming little Italian restaurant for years and it's always excellent. Thursday night was no exception. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and Jose gave us his full attention. He makes a killer herb and olive oil dipping sauce for the warm and crusty Italian bread. The Lasagna is the best I've ever had and the Chicken Florentine with fresh veggies was delicious too.
