About Hindu Temple Of Florida Canteen

The Hindu Temple of Florida Canteen offers a variety of Indian dishes, with the dosa being a standout option - crispy and full of flavor, served with delicious chutney and sambar. Located within a Hindu temple, the canteen follows traditional customs, such as requiring longer skirts and barefoot areas. While the food is the highlight, particularly the tamarind rice, some items can be over-spiced for certain tastes. The ordering process can feel impersonal, with a preference for credit card payments and the use of an ordering device.

Recently, customers have praised the dosa and sambar as particularly good. The canteen is described as a peaceful place where many visitors enjoy the temple atmosphere. After praying, delicious Prasadham is available, and there is a bigger selection of items on weekends. Management is appreciated for providing fresh food and good vegetarian options, making a visit to the canteen a chance to experience authentic Indian cuisine in a serene setting. However, there are concerns about the medhu vada, which some feel does not taste traditional.

Customers have noted that the food is delicious and the staff is attentive, especially for those craving good South Indian breakfast. However, some have pointed out issues with the ordering process and the attitude of the staff, suggesting that improvements could be made in customer service. Despite these concerns, many enjoy the food and return frequently, appreciating the budget-friendly menu and the overall experience.

If you like Indian food you should visit this place for sure. We have mysore masala dosa and it was awesome. We also had udad wada that was delicious. We have pulav and surprisingly it was really good. The mango lassi was nice as well. Go on a weekday so you will have quick service and plenty of space to sit.
The most authentic South Indian food I have ever had at a perfect price! Eating here is always special as you eat in God's grace. The menu keeps changing, but you'll always find one of your favorites everytime you go. They have a systematic order of things. I have had my life's best 'sambar' here. This place is a blessing for all vegetarians! I highly recommend trying their Mysore Masala Dosa with Mango Lassi, which becomes a full meal in itself. It can get crowded on weekends.
Amazing Dosa, Vada and idly. Tea was phenomenal.
