I've been traveling to mainland Honduras for nearly 40 years, and my wife is Honduran. We had business in Tampa and I happened to find La Casa Catracha while searching the area we would be near. This place is authentic Honduran food from the mainland. It isn't island Honduran or Garífuna, this is what you would find in the true Spanish cities like Tegucigalpa, Chulateca, Danli or other inland areas. We were not very familiar with Honduran cuisine, so we got dinner for two. It was a great combination of traditional Honduran dishes, and we got to try a little of everything. It was a great mixture of flavors, and we had plenty to take home. The prices are very reasonable and the service very friendly.
