This place was phenomenal. We were in town for a weekend at Busch gardens and wandered in here because it was close to our Airbnb. Our server Angle was amazing and the food was even better. Will definitely be back.
We had an amazing time at New World Tampa. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of—truly some of the best service we’ve had anywhere. Their selection of drinks was impressive and perfectly chilled, and the food hit the spot! It’s the kind of place where you feel right at home and end up staying longer than you planned. We’ll definitely be back soon!
We came for the first time ever to support my child's friend playing the drums at an event. We sat with another one of his friends. No one sat us, talked to us, or explained how it all worked. There was a guy that just walked up to our table and grabbed a Gatorade from the table and walked away. It looked like the other mother was trying to get his attention to tell him it was ours, so I put my hand up and pointed to her. He mouthed to me, no outside drink. Ok, I get that and the mother could have just stuck it in her purse or something, no reason to be a complete jerk about it and throw it away. Bad, very bad, first impression of this place!
Had an amazing time ..Thank you Lynn..🙂
I like the venue but I'm extremely frustrated as someone wanting to support local artists.
I was told at the door, after getting my wrist band and a X on my hand, that if I'm under 21, once I go in the establishment and exit I was not allowed back inside.
People over 21 get an identifiable band so the bartenders know who not to serve.
I came to see my friends band and i got there early to watch and support the bands going on before my friends went on stage but I couldn't.
I got there at 5 and my friends played at 8, so for the majority of my time there I wasn't even in the venue but in my car hanging out with my friends who were able freely exit and enter the building.
This feels extremely unreasonable. I understand there are grounds for that rule to be in place but in practice it doesn't really make sense.
I ask the establishment to reconsider this rule or implement a system that allows re-entry.
I look forward to seeing more bands there in the future.
That being said it is my opinion that if you are under the age of 21, I don't recommend this venue.
The money you pay at the door is not worth being stuck in the building all night.
Easily one of the best bars in town. Great atmosphere, always playing good music, and friendly bartenders. Solid selection of local beers and maybe one of the better pizza places in Tampa- especially if you like thin crust.
And their music venue is awesome too!! Props to whoever does their booking.
GOOD PLACE FOR A QUICK EAT AND A GOOD LIVE SHOW
Great place to hang out or have a party. Easy to work with when booking a party and Christian is the absolute best bar tender ever
Not a child friendly restaurant. Brought out kids here for pizza and were treated horribly by the bartender. Kids were right next to us all it and not among a sound.
New World is a great spot; the venue is split up for music and dining. The food is delicious;,I had the Caesar Salad with Garlic Nots! Then went to see The Ocean Blue band!

As a newbie to the Tampa area it’s easy to fall into chain restaurants, foregoing what could be a wonderful discovery of local flavors and hospitality. New World offers just that. Nestled on a quant neighborhood street, the modest exterior and welcoming electric neon sign opens to a spacious courtyard with a stage for local entertainment. The bar is dark and cozy with friendly staff. The we opted for some on-tap cocktails and were not disappointed with the quality and flavor. They also had a massive beer selection! Truly, truly elevated bar food experience. We tried the recommended garlic knots and were blown away by the perfection of the warm doughy bread interlaced with cheese and real chunks of fresh garlic. So good that my wife, who NEVER eats the last of anything, happily grabbed the remaining bread nugget and dipped it in the freshly made tomato sauce. For our main, we were treated to the house specialty Shooting Star Pizza. Dear reader, I’m not exaggerating when I say that the smoky combination of chicken, artichoke, and feta had our mouths watering and it didn’t disappoint. The crust was firm but not overly done and the toppings were also fresh and incredibly flavorful. Yes, the drinks were good, but the food was amazing. Do not let this treasure, hidden in a neighborhood, go undiscovered.
