If I could give zero stars I would. Cuban sandwiches originated in Tampa but these people do not make a real Cuban. They use sandwich meat instead of real fresh shredded pork (pernil) so I will never go there again. Almost $10 for just 1 sandwich that I threw away without taking a bite! If you want a REAL CUBAN do not go here!!!!!

The lady that takes the orders can not hear very well. She gave me a small Turkey instead of a small Cuban and then decided to argue with me after but at the end I had got my small and large Cuban. How I wanted it and the food was very delicious.

One & Done?First Time Last TimeWe ordered the Steak Sandwich with all toppings. I paid $9 for Large sandwich, which was more of a Shorty Only 8 Inches.I'm Disappointed. Didn't taste like beef steak at all. I was expecting sliced steak or Palomilla steak, instead I was served gross minced meat. The meat was tasteless no seasoning. Barely any toppings on sandwich super thin. What a waste $Only plus is polite service

They don't really listen, if it's a specific thing like the way you want an agg, like over medium so it doesn't get everywhere, they just do scramble. I also asked for lettuce and onions, so they gave me plain, the ham was thick though so that's cool, sandwich wasn't bad really and I was hungry so I ate it, didn't really wanna go back and fix it.

They make the best cafe con leche! ☕️✨ I love to walk here on a work break and grab a Cuban tostada or a box of chicken with rice and veggies to go. This is real comfort food, and super affordable.

Dollar for dollar this is the best spot to get lunch in Tampa. The large picadillo rice and beans is plenty for two people. They have a fire large cuban sandwich that fills you up for under 10 bucks.Palms is not really the kind of place you would recommend to someone visiting Tampa or take someone to for a lunch date. They got tables to eat inside but it's a total dive. Not the endearing kind of dive either. But that doesn't matter they got seriously good and affordable food.Parking is almost non existent if there are more that 3 people in there, just park across the street in the busted up lot.

The staff gets overwhelmed sometimes and mostly speak Spanish but these are the best empanadas in Tampa. Just call ahead and pick up. Wouldn’t recommend to dine in since the food fumes are very dense and the place is not that clean/nice. But it’s definitely authentic food. Parking might be hard.

This sandwich is FIRE! It's all in the bread. I ended up in Tampa longer than I intended one morning and was encouraged to try this local spot. It's definitely a hole in the wall, so you know the food is bussin. If you're hungry but not super hungry, a whole sandwich could be split with two people. You should try it!
