Tara's Roti Shop Reviews
It is not a restaurant, it is a roti shop. Don't expect restaurant service. The food is amazing. And there is only one woman there doing everything by herself. Give her grace. It will be worth it once you try the food.

Outstanding roti with many vegan options! S is super sweet but no-nonsense. A Tampa Trini institution.

Tara's Roti Shop is a casual eatery serving delicious Trinidadian cuisine. The food is made with love, and the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere for Trini food lovers. The shrimp roti, doubles with pepper sauce, and chicken roti are all highly praised by customers. The restaurant also provides small grocery items like seasonings and sauces used in Caribbean cooking for customers to take home.
The restaurant has received mixed reviews, with some customers raving about the authentic Caribbean flavors, particularly the doubles, while others have found certain dishes, like the curry duck, to be overly spicy. The decor has been described as sarcastic and quirky, with amusing signage and quotes throughout the space.
The service has been noted as somewhat rigid, with the owner not always appearing inviting. However, the prices are considered fair, and the wait time for the made-to-order food is reasonable. Customers have enjoyed the selection of Trinidadian snacks and treats, and appreciate the clear labeling of the items.
Overall, Tara's Roti Shop is a popular spot for those seeking authentic Trinidadian cuisine, with a mix of positive and constructive feedback from customers.
