“We had the pleasure of celebrating my husband’s birthday recently at JoJo’s Italian Diner. EVERYTHING from appys, homemade bread and dinners, for 8 people, was fresh and delicious! Our waiter was attentive and very nice and the owner was as well. Added bonus, there was an excellent singer who had us all singing by the end of dinner…and not just Happy Birthday. The prices are very reasonable too. We will definitely be back soon!”

“I enjoyed a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at The Bistro. It is a very welcoming place. Jules greeted me with a smile at the hostess stand. The manager is Ania. She keeps everything running smoothly. The energy is positive from all the staff.
The food is yummy. My husband and I enjoyed the arancini rice balls (appetizer), a wedge salad (substantial portion!) and pasta vinaiola with a caesar salad. And they surprised me with a slice of cake and sang happy birthday!
They open at 4pm Thursday-Sunday. Good happy hour specials until 6pm. Great price/quality value. I can't wait to return and try other menu items!
The atmosphere is very comfortable and casual.
Seating is available at the bar, at high tops and tables indoors. There is also outdoor seating available.
Conveniently located in downtown Tarpon Springs. There is a parking lot nearby as well as street parking in walking distance.

“My family and I stopped by while exploring the area, we had never heard of this place and were hungry for a snack. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly! I got souvlaki, it was absolutely incredible. Since I only wanted a snack, I originally planned to only eat a little, but upon trying out my food I needed the rest! “We came there on a Friday for breakfast for my boyfriend’s birthday. The coffee was so good and breakfast was delicious. We got the bagel sandwich and lemon buratta toast. It was amazing. The shop is very clean and staff was nice. We will definitely be back.”

“Local Tampa Bay Folks: Tarpon Tavern review: While this is a Tavern with your classic bar, TVs playing with the sports games, and a lively crowd, the food is beyond what you would expect. In fact, as other patrons' plates came out, I was really excited to receive our meal. It was busy and a little bit of a wait to get the food, but it was worth it. As a self-proclaimed pickle enthusiast, we decided to order the fried pickles. I had heard that they were different than most fried pickles, and surely they were for the better! The one thing I hate with most fried pickles is that there is more batter than pickle. The batter was very light, and you could even see the entire pickle through the coating; however, it was still crispy and golden. These guys achieved the perfect balance of crunchy exterior with a juicy, briny interior. From first glance, this is not your ordinary bowl. The bowl is visually appealing: vibrant veggies, grilled chicken, rice, olives, feta, and onions. A creamy tzatziki sauce and naan bread points bring a simple dish together to make a truly great meal. As a vegetarian, finding well-curated food is always hard. In a way, it's annoying. And like many places, they had the classic Beyond Burger. (boring). So, I spiced it up. I ordered their Smash Burger and had them substitute the Beyond Burger patty with their Tavern Twister fries. The burger came with grilled onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato and the ever-famous smash sauce. I had them add grilled mushrooms. From the first bite, the Beyond Burger defied all expectations. The patty had a remarkably meaty texture, was juicy, and was cooked perfectly. The flavor profile really brings the burger to the next level. The flavors and taste with the different toppings surely made the burger the best, especially with the restaurant's signature smash sauce, a harmonious blend of tangy and creamy, which ties the entire creation together. Whether you're a committed vegan, a curious flexitarian, or a die-hard carnivore looking to explore the plant-based realm, the smash burger with a beyond patty is a must-try. I didn't take any pictures as I was on a lunch date.”

Majority of their staff has been with them a very long time and I think it’s evidentt that they are where all the Locals go. Stop in during happy hour from 11-6pm ! Cheers 🥂”

However, while the sweets were good, I felt they lacked a certain depth of flavor, perhaps a specific spice or ingredient, that would have made them taste 100% authentically Greek. I was particularly looking forward to the pistachio baklava and the Galaktoboureko, and while enjoyable, they didn't quite hit that traditional Greek flavor profile for me. I suspect this might be a business decision to broaden their appeal to a wider audience, which I understand. But for someone seeking that very specific, traditional taste, it was just a bit off. Still, the atmosphere alone makes it worth a visit, and I would return.”

“We were looking for a local bar that had the golden tee game. Five star review on yelp. We were visiting from out of town, some family and friends in Tarpon Springs. After finding this bar on the GT app. We plan to go the following day. When we arrived, we did not know about the cash only but that was all right with us. Just wish we would’ve had a heads up to bring more cash. Bartender was one of the coolest and friendliest people around. Four guys playing golf drinking beer and eating pizza for about $50. At first, we were hesitant on the pizza because it was frozen, but then after discussion with the bartender about the history that it is a locally made pizza that is shipped all over the US. We decided to try it and are so glad that we did very good even worth getting shipped to Saint Augustine. You guys should shoot some video and take some more photos of what you guys offer inside. It would really help when people are searching in the area. After spending four hours at your establishment, we would love to help you guys with any social media content. So when the next person research they will be able to find you. Thank you for the hospitality and a good time. We will definitely be back.”

It was Tuesday around 5 p.m., and the place was completely empty, which had me a little nervous at first. But I’m glad I stayed. My chimichanga was fantastic — huge compared to others I’ve had — and it came with generous portions of pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. I added a side of refried beans, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive, and fast. If I lived closer, this would absolutely be one of my regular Mexican spots. Great food, great service — definitely worth a visit.”
