The Standard CLCL -- Brownwood Coffee Shop

Best coffee shop in the Villages area! I've only been to the brownwood location which is a bit small for working or studying for a long period of time. The coffee here is fantastic! Looking forward to trying the other location soon!

I came in on the day of this person, calling to complain about Mason, one of the hard work workers. This lady had her almost in tears all because Mason asked her to keep her hands out of the food that other people eat. This woman should be ashamed of herself. Those girls make getting coffee, a pleasurable experience

I see some of the reviews and that they are really good and I’m glad that they all had great experiences as they should. My first visit 2/24/26 in the afternoon was anything but welcoming and pleasant from the young high school girl. I went in and the girl was busy making a couple of drinks so I waited in line and noticed to the right of the edge of the counter was a tall glass container jar full of peanut butter protein balls for a $1.50 ea. I looked for a tong or napkin which wasn’t there and so I took 1 being I hadn’t eaten lunch and was starved! As I waited in line I did eat it. Then the girl was ready for my order and I ordered a small Ice Chi Coffee w/cream only and 2-3 pumps of simple syrup. The girl looked at me and said the chi coffee is already sweet. I told her well I like it very sweet. The young girl was rude as she frowned and shook her head. I watched her make the drink angrily. Had an attitude. The girl brings my drink to the counter and I said you forgot to add the simple syrup. The young girl said “It’s sweet enough”! I then got frustrated w/her as I’m paying for it and drinking it not her! The girl grabbed the Iced Tai Chi coffee and put the simple syrup in. When she came back w/it I told her she also needed to charge me for the pb protein ball. The young girl then said with a scolding tone “YOU SHOULDN'T OF DONE THAT” with everyone there hearing. I said look there wasn’t any tongs or napkins. I told her and I don’t appreciate your attitude. Sarcasticly the girl says “THANK YOU”!

I finely got ahold of Jessica the Manager this morning 3/2/26 and she said yeah, the girl told me. Jessica gave the excuse that these are young kids. I wasn’t impressed w/the way it was handled. 🙁. Too bad that that happened and the way and I certainly will not go back as there is other options near by.

Great coffee with so many options. Love the pastries as well and the owner and staff are always very polite and welcoming.

What a wonderful surprise this place turned out to be. Tucked in the corner of the CAHB, the coffee shop is cozy and inviting, with just the right mix of warmth and calm. NDS.

Amazing coffee and service! The almond bakehouse and waffle haze were so good! The energy bites and breakfast sandwiches are great as well!

Friendly staff, answered my questions with a smile at 8:30am, cute shop with courtyard seating and the coffee was better than Starbucks. The range of flavors and styles offered here is sure to leave anyone satisfied!
