“Tree of Life Cuban Bakery, 1200 Malabar Rd. SE suite #2, Palm Bay, FL 32909 4 Stars Glancing down at my random name generator, I poured myself another cup of coffee. I was going to need it today as I was about to head OTB for a second visit to Tree of Life Cuban Bakery in Palm Bay. Having been there before, I brought my niece along as she is fluent in Spanish and will be able to help bridge the language gap. Janice is our service professional today, and she is on point, pleasant, and skilled in her job performance. Using my niece as a translator, I put in an order for one Midnight Breakfast Sandwich, one Cuban Sandwich, and an order of flan. While waiting for our order, I snapped a shot of Janice working her tail off and have to comment on the décor. The whole place gives off such a jovial atmosphere, and it has to be due to the employees, paint, and artwork hanging about. Well done! If one would, at this point, take a peek at the accompanying pictures, one will see that the Midnight Breakfast Sandwich is the prototypical grill-pressed "Panini" style, albeit on made-in-the-back freshly baked Cuban bread. One bite was all it took to know that this was a magnificent concoction of the American breakfast staples: egg, ham, cheese, and meat candy (bacon). The bread was grilled to perfection, toasty on the outside, slightly sweet, warm, and delicious on the inside. My discerning taste buds found this to be incredibly enjoyable. Now on to the Cuban Sandwich. As I mentioned before, this is my second trip here and my second go-around trying their Cuban. Once again, my palate is introduced to the best Cuban Sandwich this side of Yeehaw Junction. The meats are so incredibly delicious I would even hazard to guess that they make their own Cantimpalo sausage in the back as well. The flavor is exemplary! Now onto the flan. Flan is an ancient dessert going back to the days of the Roman Empire. At that point, it was just one type of dessert. Today, depending on where you live, it can have a few different meanings. In America, we associate flan with what is actually crème caramel. Flan is a dime a dozen in these parts, and I regretfully have to say that the flan at Tree of Life Cuban Bakery is not worth a dime. I found it to be rather bland on the palate. It didn't taste bad, just not much at all. A lot of Caribbean countries include coconut, condensed and evaporated milk, as well as a bit of nuts or fruit. This just needs a jolt of flavor, and it will be fine. However, as it is….. The Big Boy says, "Go get a sandwich, any sandwich, especially the Cuban, but skip the flan."“
“I Go to Kim's every morning for my daughter's and I don't need to say anything to the 2 beautiful young ladies because they already have my order memorized, This is the best doughnut place in Titusville ❤️❤️❤️let me say it again for those who didn't read it properly... THE BEST...“
“We had Sunrise cater for our wedding and as usual they did not disappoint. Our whole family loves going to Sunrise, whenever we are able to come down to visit we always try to go there. Highly recommend the jalapeño cheese bread and the spicy egg breakfast sandwiches. Also, their granitas are so good, highly recommend getting one of those.“
“One of the best places in the United States for high end cakes and cup cakes and cookies. Johnny and her husband produce some of the finest and tastiest cakes and cupcakes we have every had. They don't rival -- they beat -- the best places I have been to in Miami, Chicago , Orlando, etc. These are places I have lived in, and I've eaten some great desserts elsewhere, but Something Sweet has been the best. You don't win Cup Cake Wars unless you are the best. They are the nicest, warmest (small-town-feeling) couple with the best desserts around. There is no product at Disney that can come close to the products that they produce. Give them a try- you won't be disappointed. But come early, they tend to sell out early.“
“This little donut shop is a truly special place. It's one of those hole in the wall mom and pop establishments that we all dream of finding. Lucky for Titusville, it's right here and has been for a long time. The donuts here are really, really good. The texture is PERFECT. So lighy and fluffy, not overly sweet, and a great variety. Best in town and probably the best in 100 miles. The service is great too. Prompt and kind.Do yourself a favor and don't ever eat a Dunkin' Donut again. Upgrade to Donut 4 U, support a local family, and enjoy a truly delicious local gem. I don't say these things lightly, as I said above, it's a special place.“
