I very seldom write a review but our experience at Gigis on Treasure Island last night was exceptional. The food was excellent but even if it had not been, the service was so exceptional we would not have noticed. I called him the ghost server. Every time I would start to ask for something it was already on our table and we never saw it delivered. If you want exceptional service ask for Hiram the next time you eat there. You will not be disappointed.

We had an amazing Italian dinner last night of polo piccata & rigatoni salsiccia with the dinner salad we shared, food was sooo good!

Gigi's Italian Restaurant offers a mix of excellent and inconsistent experiences. On the positive side, the food is often great, with dishes like Veal Parm, Eggplant Parm, Chicken Marsala, and pizza receiving high praise. The shrimp scampi has delicious shrimp, though the pasta can be bland and oily with the right amount of garlic. A chicken piccata, garlic bread, and salted caramel cheesecake with additional chocolate sauce were also enjoyed. The atmosphere is wonderful, with background music at a level where conversation is still possible, and the service is awesome and welcoming. However, one visit was not perfection due to loud noise from a large group. A stuffed shells order was awful—overbaked, hard, and dry with not enough sauce—while a son’s spaghetti and meatballs lacked sauce but was still enjoyed. Another pasta was bland with a salt shaker that wouldn’t deliver. Despite this, the restaurant is a gem with a cozy atmosphere, and many guests plan to return to try the pizza.
