“One of the best meals I have had this year. Taste-wise Goblin Market delivered, I’ve never even considered honey truffled scallops. Not to mention the steak was cooked perfect, juicy and topped with de vin, au jus and bleu cheese. My husband and I can’t get over how much flavor our meals had. We left happy and full.“

“Stopped by on a drizzly Saturday afternoon. Nearly had the place to ourselves. Small, simple menu. Of course we had to try the clam chowder. Probably the best I've ever had. They definitely earned those award ribbons!
I ordered grilled shrimp and hush puppies and bf had the sampler platter. Blackened. Our shrimps looked exactly the same so I guess mine were blackened too ??‍♀️. It was definitely very fresh however I feel they went a bit heavy on the lemon. Hushpuppies were sooo good.
Considering how empty it was we found the service slow for having so many employees there but they were nice.“

“The Salted Fry in Mt. Dora Florida is a completely gluten free restaurant! The food and atmosphere is AMAZING! This is the first time I have sat down in a restaurant in 14 years where I could eat every single item on the menu! Hands down 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! “We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

With the extra delivery and service charges, I would have expected at least a person to hand me my food. There wasn't even the courtesy of knocking on the door.“

I believe every weekend they have either beer or wine sip n shops on Saturday evening, and in addition to having an immense selection of beer and wine, they have a small bar where you can get a glass of wine and sit on one of their mini couches or love seats and enjoy great conversation. They are dog friendly too!“

“My family stopped in today before we caught a flight home today. My aunt and uncle live in Mount Dora and visit there often. My mom and I were visiting from Saint louis Missouri and was our first time there. I really wanted to give a shout out to your waiter that was working this morning around noon!! He was a superstar running around like crazy today. He was taking orders, seating customers, and cashing out customers. There was only one cook and one busser/dishwasher. Apparently 2 people had called in sick and he was so busy he couldn’t even call for someone to come in to help him. The crew this morning definitely deserves a raise. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names. But they all did a great job.“

“I’ve been eating Del Franco’s pizza for years. The very best pizza. They cook it like you ask. You can eat in or they will deliver it. They do charge a delivery fee. It’s worth it to go in to eat. My grandchildren always want to go eat their pizza. Great food.“

“I've lived here for 12 years and had never gone in because the building from the outside looks like a fine dining restaurant, meaning you would get dressed up to go there. My friend took me there because she wanted to get a gyro and said that they had good food and good service. When I walked in I couldn't believe it!!! It was so casual in the setting was like a pizzeria. The service was excellent, the food was excellent! They do sell pizza, specialty sandwiches, spaghetti and other items. I had the lasagna, because that is my ultimate favorite dish. It was awesome! Prices are very reasonable. I can't believe that I've overlooked this little gem of a restaurant. This is my new favorite place to go to!“

“We visit Pisces Rising several times a year and love their food and drink, happy hour is great. They do need to alter their recipe for the Poke Stack.....it's all fresh, but had a huge top layer of wonton and thick bottom layer of rice, making the whole thing really dry. If they just eliminated those items, it would be much better.“

“I recently visited China 8 in Mount Dora with my sister, and once again, they did not disappoint! The restaurant consistently offers a cozy atmosphere coupled with exceptional customer service that makes you feel genuinely taken care of.

We ordered the shrimp fried rice and special fried rice, which were both cooked to perfection. The honey chicken and fried chicken with honey sauce were delightful treats—sweet, crispy, and just the right amount of goodness. We couldn't resist their egg rolls and spring rolls either, which were the perfect starters to our meal.

Although I found a small rock in my rice, it didn't detract from the overall positive experience. Mistakes happen, and it's nothing that would keep me away.

If you're in the area and craving delicious Chinese cuisine with a side of warm hospitality, China 8 is the place to go. We'll definitely be back for more!“

“This is the best chinese food in Lake County, hands down. Everything is fresh and flavorful! I get takeout for the house(9 people) and everyone is a huge fan. Orange chicken is a perfect blend of sweet and spice, Mongolian beef is perfectly spicy and garlicky with a sweet backdrop, Krab Rangoon is on point. The guy at the front desk is fast and precise, with our ridiculous 9 separate order feasts, and the food is always ready in like 12 minutes, despite the amount. And it's always piping hot and fresh and delicious. I don't want to blow up my spot, but again, best Chinese food in Lake County.

Parking: It's in a Publix strip mall, so huge parking lot, tons of parking, and it's a bit down from the Publix, so you don't have to bother with all of their customers“

“It was evening and I had the chicken sandwich, which was edible and hot, but not quite fully cooked. We also ordered a waffle. The waffle station was a bit of a mess, but the waffle was fine.
In general, the kitchen area was pretty unkept and dirty — not up to the usual Waffle House standard. Overall, though, it was a satisfactory trip.
