“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“My family stopped in today before we caught a flight home today. My aunt and uncle live in Mount Dora and visit there often. My mom and I were visiting from Saint louis Missouri and was our first time there. I really wanted to give a shout out to your waiter that was working this morning around noon!! He was a superstar running around like crazy today. He was taking orders, seating customers, and cashing out customers. There was only one cook and one busser/dishwasher. Apparently 2 people had called in sick and he was so busy he couldn’t even call for someone to come in to help him. The crew this morning definitely deserves a raise. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names. But they all did a great job.“

Of course wine selection is good and beer is very cold! Sitting outside is gorgeous with Orange umbrellas and just steps from the MT Dora Yacht Club“

“I’ve been eating Del Franco’s pizza for years. The very best pizza. They cook it like you ask. You can eat in or they will deliver it. They do charge a delivery fee. It’s worth it to go in to eat. My grandchildren always want to go eat their pizza. Great food.“

“I've lived here for 12 years and had never gone in because the building from the outside looks like a fine dining restaurant, meaning you would get dressed up to go there. My friend took me there because she wanted to get a gyro and said that they had good food and good service. When I walked in I couldn't believe it!!! It was so casual in the setting was like a pizzeria. The service was excellent, the food was excellent! They do sell pizza, specialty sandwiches, spaghetti and other items. I had the lasagna, because that is my ultimate favorite dish. It was awesome! Prices are very reasonable. I can't believe that I've overlooked this little gem of a restaurant. This is my new favorite place to go to!“

“Our dinner there yesterday was great. We had shrimp scampi; sausage & peppers with ziti; and a large vegetable pizza. The pasta was cooked perfect. The shrimp were cooked perfect. My husband’s sausage and peppers were nicely sauced. Ziti was cooked perfect. Our friends shared the pizza. The dough was light and crispy. We all thought the prices were quite reasonable. We will definitely be back.“

“Above and beyond service, the owner Peter ended up personally replacing my food after I was accidentally given the wrong order. It was my fault not to check my order but I was in a hurry and it was busy. I called the restaurant once I got home and Peter was extremely apologetic having realized the mistake already. “This is the worst bar in Mount Dora. If you want to have a bad time. Go here. We showed up to the bar at 10 pm on a Saturday and ordered one drink per person. While my friends went to the bathroom, the bartender walked up to our table and took away our purchased drinks for no reason. The "manager", Mark came up and told me that we weren't welcome anymore. I asked why and he had no answer. I asked why again and he had no answer. Then after multiple times questioning, he said , "your too intoxicated" We were literally sober. The manager then physically intimidated us and forced us to leave. I'll never go to this bar again I live in this town and frequent town regularly. I'll never recommend anyone go to this bar for food or drink. What a top to bottom terrible experience. If you enjoy a good time, skip this bar.“

“It was evening and I had the chicken sandwich, which was edible and hot, but not quite fully cooked. We also ordered a waffle. The waffle station was a bit of a mess, but the waffle was fine.
In general, the kitchen area was pretty unkept and dirty — not up to the usual Waffle House standard. Overall, though, it was a satisfactory trip.
