I contracted with Piccolo for an event to have a coffee cart, and later found out the conference center would only allow their preferred contractors.
I’d paid a $400+ deposit and was told after the fact that it was non-refundable, though that was never mentioned anywhere in any emails or on the invoice and while I feel like they might have done a great job, I also feel like a never disclosed non-refundable deposit is a bit sketchy.
