“three words... homemade saj bread i love char (owned by the same owner and connected to gita pita) so i had a feeling I would love gita pita. my feeling was correct. i ordered online for pick up and got a falafel pita and then chicken shawarma pitas for my aunt and boyfriend. these boys were saucy! and i love wet food so when i saw the tinfoil wrap covered in sauce I knew this would be a good meal. the homemade saj bread is amazing... chewy, soft, delicious...all the good things. the falafel weren't dry and had good flavor. i would definitely get gita pita again. one thing that keeps me from ordering as often (char too) is the price. this food is a little pricey at $13 a pita (good chicken shawarma at a middle eastern restaurant you're only paying around $7 so this is almost double the price and tbh I was still hungry). still great food though just not something you would want to drop $13 on all the time to eat.“

“A Lebanese friend recommended this place and was he ever RIGHT! My wife and I both love middle eastern foods generally and Lebanese especially and this place creates (yes, there is artistry here) the very best tabbouleh either of us has ever eaten! On top of that, their hummus was just perfect. For a small 'hole in the wall' restaurant they seem to have created super food. Back with a review of other dishes as soon as we get back ---- tomorrow maybe?“

“Hands down the best mediterranean food I have found in Florida. It’s fresh and Delicious. The meals are large and filling. The Greek fries are mouthwatering. They even have a large variety of vegetarian and vegan food that hits the spot. I highly recommend anyone looking for fresh wholesome goodness to give it a try.“

“This place is AMAZING! I've been wanting to stop by and never seemed to get around to it until today. My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken kebabs and new York style chicken and rice, along with a side of tabouli. The food is a definite 10/10. The flavors are incredible. I also can't forget the staff; they were very friendly and helpful.“

“Haven't been for quite a while, but dinner was not as good as previous visits. Moussaka was dry, but tasty and my lamb was not hot when served, which was rectified, but left me with hot, very well-done lamb kebabs when ordered medium. Service was great manager/owner out in dining areas speaking with guests and genuinely interested. Service model seems to have changed to a much friendlier, guest-centric model, or they're doing a better hiring job. You need to ask Toast to include server's name on the texted receipt.“

“Excellent food!!! Excellent service by Heni. He gave us a delicious little sample of hibiscus tea when we sat down. He made good recommendations. We thought we would have hummus to take home, but nope it was too good not to finish. Definitely eat there!“

“This Persian restaurant was great! The servers were all great and were very attentive. I love my chicken kubideh. My spouse had his favorite, Zereshk Polo and he loved it too. We highly recommend this restaurant. It was very quiet inside, so I was actually able to hear myself talking.“

“Originally had a hiccup at this store but the manager Johnny reached out to me immediately and rectified the situation. I am so surprised by his quick response and eagerness to help. I love halal guys and will continue to support this business as long as Johnny is around!“

“I walked in around 12:30 for pick up. I ordered one item the Olympian Pita, but before I get into that let's talk about the ambiance and service. It was a bit busy inside as expected for lunch which is a good sign. The restaurant itself looks a bit small from the outside, but is much bigger on the inside. I quite enjoyed the atmosphere as I like the hustle and bustle a bit.The service itself was lacking. I had my phone in hand so the employee knew I was there for a pick up. She wasn't the most friendly and didn't seem happy at all. But service was quick and simple.Okay now let's get to my most important part the food. I only ordered one item and I did it through uber eats. When ordering through uber eats the food always cost more even if you pick it up yourself. So why would I order through uber eats? The reason being they had a bogo special. So normally the food would cost 11.89 for one Olympian Pita. I paid the uber eats price of 15.29 and got two Olympian pitas! The Pita itself was sizeable. Weighing in at 1.09 lbs it would fill up most people. The Pita itself was a bit flaky and fell apart easily. I prefer it more doughy. The chicken in the gyro was a bit dry. The gyro was standard. The tarziki sauce was excellent and they put ALOT of it which I enjoy. Maybe that was to cover up the dryness of the chicken. The meat to vegetable ratio was 2/3 to 1/3. I usually crave more meat but would actually have preferred a bit more tomatoes and onions. Either than that with a bogo special I would definitely do this again. But for normal pricing I wouldn't.Follow my eating adventures!YoutubeWayne AlgenioInstagram@wayneywonder29“

“Wow! This small mom & pop cafe is underrated! I've been meaning to come to Heart of Jerusalem for a while, and it does not disappoint. Everything tastes so fresh and perfectly spiced. Plus, how can you say no to heart-shaped falafel? The only slight improvement would be for service. A few times, the waiter was walking too fast and would say things in passing rather than address you directly to ask how everything was.“
