“This is one gem of a coffee shop; conveniently located just a few mins off i75 offering a homey atmosphere, good vibes, and delicious coffee and food. Sam was personable and knowledgeable giving me some background info on their cold brew after I mentioned how much I loved the flavor. I couldn’t decide on what to eat so I ordered toast with jam & butter which turned out to be amazing. This place was the perfect pit stop!”

“My husband recommended this place as he and his nanny(grandmother) had stopped here years ago.
We all had the stogie burger - kids had the juniors, and I made a huge mistake ordering the regular burger because it was much more than I expected.

“I'm a thru hiker of the florida trail and stayed here for lunch. My card declined (long story, but I had the money, just dumb mistakes on my side) and I offered to pay with PayPal since I didn't have any other money or cards on me (from Germany, so everything I had wouldn't work here 🙃) but they just said to pay it forward, since I wouldn't be here long enough for my bank problems to fix themselves. On the trail, we call this trail magic. I hope I can do it justice and do some good for other people, thank you Laredo🙏”

“This might be called or look like a hole-in-the-wall place, but it really is a hidden local institution that provides friendly service, a bar and seating are with food. I did not try the pizza today but the wings were amazing and Chris’ Special sauce was way above average. Great without leaving a huge after taste before your next bite. Highly recommend as a side dipping sauce or on half-dozen wings. I will also point out that the simple craftsmanship of the name engraved in the bar top with steel letters speaks volumes for the vision the founder had for this establishment. I’ll be going back to try the pizza. It’s not a fancy place but it is fun and the food was good.”

“The chicken wings are excellent! I don't know what they marinate them in but they have a great flavor. Their wonton soup also was excellent. We had a teriyaki chicken dinner and the chicken was great. The fried rice was a bit bland, but still good. Chicken chow mein was just like what I would get in NY. The onions and cabbage were soft and the chicken was what it should be in chow mein. Added some soy sauce to give it just a bit more flavor. Overall 5/5!!”

“The names of the items will give you a smile. Menus up front on the counter. Decide what you want there, others can go around you, if they know what they want. I didn't. Place was new to me, so every day for a week, I wanted to try something different. Once you know, go down the counter and order. Soda bottles are inside the cooler on the far wall. The small sandwich baskets go on the table by the door. Expect to spend approximately $10- $13 for your sandwich. The ladies are friendly and courteous. Please return the friendlyness and courteous exchange. A smile and please and thank you go a long way. Just an independent review. I live 45 minutes away, and few days later, I brought a friend out to enjoy it was well.”

“Nicholas M. Was our cashier on drive-thru. He was extremely pleasant and delivered our pizza to us in the parking lot when it was ready. We sat in the car and ate. While we were waiting and eating we observed him constantly working. Sweeping floors, walkways, and removing cobwebs from the windows followed by cleaning them. Very unusual to observe this attitude, but just as refreshing as the pizza. I hope that this review finds its way to him.”

“I love Hungry Howie's pizza, but it's not what made me want to leave a review.
The man working the closing shift tonight, September 20th, is a gem. I wasn't having a great night and his demeanor was so pleasant. He'll never know how appreciative I was of this interaction. I've seen him a few times and I've never once experienced him be anything less than kind. I wanted to thank him by name, but it's not on my receipt. Regardless, thank you to him!”
