“Have been to this spot twice, spread out about 5 years apart. As far as the decor goes, it's a total hole in the wall, but it's clean with great service and the food is fantastic. I went today for the second time. The first time I had enchiladas and they were terrific. Went back today with a couple friends. Again, the service was terrific, and the food was as well. I had the Fish Soup, my friends had beef & chicken fajitas and a smothered chicken chimichanga. All the dishes were huge portions and really delicious. I gave a slightly lower ranking for atmosphere because they had the music blaring so loud, we couldn't hear each other at all.“

“Visited Fogata today for the first time. The tacos were delicious— filled with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Tried three different meats - chicken, steak, and carnitas - none disappointed, but the carnitas were our favorite. The chips and salsa had a homemade feel and added the perfect crunch and zing to start the meal. The rice and beans were equally as flavorful with great seasoning. This place serves up great, authentic flavors, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious Mexican meal!“

“We went to the Fiests Grande restaurant today (2-1-25). Somebody told the manager that my husband was stealing a cup that was on another table. My husband saw the cup and was showing me how cool it was (we are seniors and if my husband liked a cup that he saw he would have asked our server if the restaurant sold them, we do not have to steal. Nor were we dressed poorly.) So, the manager came over to us, and demanded to look in my husband's bag. I felt so bad for my husband! The look on his face! He was mortified! She did not find a cup, because my husband did not take anything. She embarrassed my husband and me in front of everyone. I approched the manager and told her she was out of line and she told me she had to protect her customers...well, my husband and I were also her customers, she didn't protect us from public humiliation! She also told me " I am Mexican, I know how it feels. I don't know what she meant by that. We will never visit that restaurant again, and probably won't go to Mt. Dora again either! Needless to say, our beautiful day was ruined.“

“La Perla Tapatia accepted a reservation for 9 on a busy Friday night, when all other restaurants we called would not accept reservations. Despite being incredibly busy, our table was ready for us when we arrived. For the amount of staff and patrons (extremely busy) they had, the service was top notch and the food was well done and timely. The entire crew hustled all night long, and the kitchen cranked out delicious food. We'll be back. Chapala salad with steak was super, too.“

“I was a regular patron of this restaurant under the previous ownership. It was my favorite place for Mexican cuisine in Lake Co. So when I discovered it was under new management I was thoroughly disappointed. That all changed this evening when I actually took my family in for an early dinner. It was around 5 p.m. and we had the entire place to ourselves. My wife and I had the three-enchilada dinner with beans and rice, and a side of guacamole. I tried one of each enchilada offered: chicken, beef, and cheese. They were all delicious! The guacamole, while not quite the same as the previous owner's, was also very good. Salsa and chips: delicious. My son had the quesadilla and was also unexpectedly impressed (at first he said nothing on the menu looked exciting enough for him. After eating he quickly changed his mind). In short, this will be my new go-to Mexican place in this area. Better Mexican food than anything else around here. Highly recommended!!!“

“This restaurant is conveniently located within minutes driving of Kelly Park - Rock Springs and opens early so I was able to eat breakfast here.

The food is delicious and freshly made. I had the huevos rancheros and the next day the one of the vegetarian breakfast options - a burrito, enchilada and rice and beans. The burrito was my favorite, but everything I had was really good. They also give you chips and salsa for free. Highly recommend!!“

Of course, the seasoning is excellent and the service is very good! Closes early, doesn't open after 4 or 5 pm, so go early. “Everything about Salsita's is magic. Their customer service is top notch, and just as importantly, their food is fantastic. I usually get the carne asada street tacos with a side of rice and beans, and my partner loves the carnitas quesadilla. Their red salsa is spot on with what I grew up with in Southern California. The elote in a cup is not to be missed and is made with fresh corn. Get it 'spicy' to have it prepared with mayonnaise and Tajin!“
