I've lived in athens for 16 years barbs is usually good everytime. At least they are helpful and polite. Never had a problem downtown, but this location is employed by people who think its the customers job to put up with them. My SO is autistic and struggles with communicating so he usually gives his order in a particular way that ensures they are made correctly. Today the employee told him no that he would need to tell her all at once. He did this and they were then immediately made incorrectly to which he tried to correct but was ignored and then they were continued to be made incorrectly until he finally tried to correct one that would have triggered my allergies and the employee then threw away the taco and when he tried to correct the initial wrong beans she just walked away leaving him to appear to be holding up the line. The only other employee finished the oder eventually. We live a few blocks away and he drove but dispite this when we tried to eat the tacos there was so much bean juice on everything (I don't eat breans usually) That the corn tortillas disintegrated as soon as you tried to pick one up. Just bad all around.

You should probably try a different location.... or restaurant in general. I placed an online order at this location and after getting back to my job I find they havent given me the queso cup I ordered AND have forgotten to add the guacamole to my burrito which is an upcharge. On top of that, I ordered two burritos and a queso cup (which admittedly they forgot) and only got a half bag of chips! After calling I was told to go online to get a refund for an online order which isnt true there is no such place on the website- at least no easily accessible webpage for order issues and refunds. This was my first time EVER going to Barberitos after a year of living in Athens and hearing great things. Looks like I should have brought my day old soup from home.

Barbaritos, you have made me so sad. This is the 3rd visit where 3 prominent things happened 1) the steak was only 50% edible. So much tough grizzly 2) The chips were so stale that it was like chewy and gum like 3) salsa station needed cleaning. The store was not busy, and I visited well within normal operating hours.

Just got done eating chicken burrito, Zachary and the other employees are very nice, but he did such a bomb job on my burrito. He was very nice and helpful as well as knowledgeable about the menu because it did look a little confusing the way it was set up, but the staff was great and I had a wonderful experience. 10/10 will definitely be back.
Hands down the best Barberitos I've been to, and I've been to a few. Ingredients were fresh (especially the lettuce, which is always a little wilted at other locations). The guy who made my burrito even took into account that some people have food allergies and took extra care, I didn't get the name of the guy (white, shoulder length blonde hair) but he was the best! I will for sure be back to this one.
Barb’s is an Athens staple. I take all of my visitors in from Florida to check it out. The food is inexpensive and their chips are the absolute best.

6.11.25 They no longer carry the mango salsa, which is a shame because it was the best part of going.
Also they have a loyalty program. I had earned an entree, but they changed their program and took earned entree away replaced with guacamole for $100 I spent to earn it. No warning. Just gone. I quit going.

Every time I come to this place I be unsatisfied and I tried to get them another chance today and I always get chips and salsa but today the heavy d sauce taste just like dish water and when I complain to the employees they was looking at me crazy I know just leaving out and telling them to have a blessed day and I just never will come to this barberitos no more

I went to Barberitos on Monday 3/24/25 and ordered two power bowls and a chicken quesadilla. I got sick the next day with food poisoning. The chicken was undercooked on my food. I went in and spoke with Jonathon the manager and he made it right for me so I appreciate that.
