“I just want to share this with everyone who eats at this place. Yesterday me and My wife ordered our normal chicken tacos like we always get on Tuesday's. I noticed the salsa had a slightly different taste to it. So later that night I woke up around 3 am with chills sweating profusely all over. I've literally been sick all day from this food poisoning. My wife didnt eat no salsa and she was fine. I love this place and I've never had an issue until last night. So take it for what it's worth and be careful is all I can say.“

“My family and I have been here several times and we love it so much ! The food is amazing and always comes out quickly even when they are busy ! The servers have always been great and given attentive and great service ! “We booked La Pa on wheels for our wedding and man they DID NOT disappoint. Taqueria La Parilla is mine and my husbands favorite Mexican place in Athens and it meant the world to us to have them cater our wedding. 10/10. Best service. Best food. Carlos was awesome and so communicative the whole year before our wedding!“

“Top notch food. Because my law office is right down the street also on Prince Avenue I go here maybe a little too often (if that is even possible). You can trust their blue plate to be top notch and unique. The standards that stay on the menu are great too. Have not been disappointed once. Visitors to Athens, make this a lunch or dinner stop for sure.“

“Excellent restaurant for students looking for something different. The burrito/bowl bar is well-stocked and delicious, and the food will not disappoint, especially under $12 for a burrito and chips. Great place for small groups but the seating isn't so extensive for larger parties.“

“Visiting Athens and needed good food after checking into our hotel up the street, so glad we chose this place! Everything was so delicious and fresh - my favs were the chunky guacamole, fresh salsa, and quesabirria tacos. The quesabirria was out of this world, the meat was so tender. The fajitas and carnitas enchiladas were also super yummy, and the rice and beans were perfect. Everything also came out very quickly and our waitress (I didn’t catch her name forgive me!) was super kind and chatted with us about areas to check out during our stay. Will definitely visit this place again if we are back in town!“

“The assistant manager working there was absolutely amazing !! She was so helpful with our group in giving recommendations on what to do in the area. They have a cute little outdoor area with mini golf and seating. The food wasn’t bad I got just the steak quesadilla nothing special about it. Everyone else really enjoyed their food! We went around 3 so no one else was there so the food was super quick.“

“I am a South Georgia girl who has been waiting for the Athens, GA location to open. Let me just say that the workers at the Athens location were AMAZING!! I was so excited to eat Surcheros again, but now I can’t wait for a chance to dine in with them! I am almost positive I was greeted by every person working and they all were so cheery and had smiles on their faces. This is definitely an environment I want to eat in and people I want to talk to! Already planning my next stop in and maybe I’ll get all of my northern friends to tag along so that I can show them how us South Georgia folk do it!😋“

“I don’t think I’ve ever been made such a pleasant experience more than Josh has ever given me and my family. We went in thinking it was gonna be casual, okay service, good food, and were met with more than we can handle. Josh went above and beyond from the second we walked into this restaurant. His bright smile, funny humor, and amazing recommendations; make sure you order the Thai chicken tacos! it was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had from being serviced. Truly a nice guy and made the night so special for us. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy the service again!!! Please ask for Josh for a great night!!“
