we ate at Taco Mama for lunch today. The staff was so nice. the service was excellent. The cook created a delicious meal for us. The food is so fresh tasting. We will definitely be back again.

Taco Mama is a good downtown spot for quick casual eats, located on the corner of Washington St and Lumpkin in Athens. The food is excellent, with favorites including the quesadillas, the "Build your own" Taco Salad, and the Poke Taco. The guacamole is delicious, and the portions are huge. The margaritas are a highlight, especially the pomegranate and watermelon margaritas, considered the best in town, with half-price specials on Tuesday. The staff is amazing and friendly, frequently checking on tables. A special shout-out goes to Khaili for his sweet service. The patio provides a cute outdoor seating area, although it may not be ideal for very hot days. A notable downside for some is that the street tacos come with diced pickles.
