I did not expect to find authentic Mexican food in Athens. I am from SoCal where there are a million places to get authentic Mexican from restaurants to food trucks. I've had Mexican food from some of the restaurants in and around the Atlanta area. None of them have come close. My sister in law is Mexican and her salsa is very similar to what they serve here. Amazing Mexican food! The guacamole was freshly made with huge chunks of avocado and paired perfectly with the tortilla chips. I have to give a shout out to the chips because they were flat out wonderfully crisp, thicker than usual chips, and probably homemade. We were almost full just from eating the chips with salsa and guac.
Great Mexican restaurant in Athens, a hop and skip away from downtown, worth the walk to it. Good service and setting. Absolutely amazing tacos al pastor. Highly recommend, will be back soon. Highly recommend, this is authentic Mexican food and you really can't beat the pricing.
