Always a pleasure coming to Boxcar between the food, atmosphere, and staff it makes for a pleasant experience.

I had the braised beef short ribs that came with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The meat was super fork pull apart tender, mashed potatoes well seasoned, and collard greens like somebody’s Grandma was making them in the kitchen.

My wife and I also had the collard greens cheese dip and the Kung Pao Brussel sprout for an appetizer....

I just stopped by to see if they had any MBC ….they did…and my son wanted a new keg for his house…yes that too…and we decided to sit at the bar and sample a few plus have some Jamaican style wings. So most places you try a sample and since they didn’t have a west coast style IPA on the menu I was nonplussed over 2 samples I tried. The bar attendant just asked, okay, what do you like? I told her and she found an obscure beer that I would not have even tried. Top notch!...

The food was delicious. We did lunch by ordering a bunch of apps: Caprice avocado, chicken sliders, salmon dip, and bang bang shrimp. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and kind. The music, while a very good playlist, was loud (especially for an afternoon).
