“If this is your first time enjoying Ethiopian food, the staff is very helpful and friendly. I order the lamb tibs in a hot awaze sauce, and it is absolutely delicious. It comes with a pretty standard side salad and a generous portion of injera, and I think that it can easily be shared or taken home for a second meal. Overall, this is a great place to eat, and I don't hesitate to say yes when someone asks to eat here.“

“Excellent food and really nice, friendly, and attentive staff. The place has regular tables and booths, bit also traditional Ethiopian small tables for those who like to share their food. Several big screen TVs add a relaxed atmosphere. The only suggestion I’d have is to expand the wine and other drinks selection, adding wines such as Sheeba’s Tej hiney wine that would add the traditional dining experience.“

“This place is the perfect representation of a classic mom-and-pop restaurant. Noncorporate, non-conveyor belt food made authentically and with love.
Excellent food! We ordered the lamb derek tibs and the vegetarian platter. Every single item was delicious. Also, it's an enormous amount of food... two people will have great difficulty finishing it.
Very sweet woman that works/cooks there.
Atmosphere is VERY simple. But you're not going there for the atmosphere.“

“Best Ethiopian food in Atlanta! I’ve tried other restaurants and the dishes from Abol are consistently better (both in portion size and taste). My personal favorites are the Shiro and veggie platter. They accommodate vegan restrictions, too ♥️“

“Great food. Should add Ethiopian beverages and dim lights.“
“Delicious. I got the veggie plate, which was 11.95 for 4 side veggies and a piece of corn (pancake?). The cabbage, green beans and collared greens were cooked well and flavorful. All different textures to compliment the veggies. The mac and cheese was baked and comforting.
Tough for me was that everything was boxed in Styrofoam, including their drinks. They helped refill my water bottle, but only if they handed me a Styrofoam cup. Technically, these are better choices than the polypropylene black boxes other vendors are using since neither can be recycled.“

“Truly excellent Ethiopian food! We had a table of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids) and ordered the Vegan Combo, Rebeye tibs and Chicken tibs and it was so delicious! It was the right amount of food with some left over. The spices, quality, and taste were the best we've ever had. The service and staff were very professional, courteous and welcoming. This is a hidden gem and we will be back every time we're in Atlanta. Highly recommend!“

“I love Wehemia. It feels like home every time I go, warm, welcoming, and genuine. The food is always amazing, made with real care. You can tell they put heart into everything they do. There’s a reason it’s been named one of the best restaurants in Atlanta multiple times, a special place all around“

“Food was amazing and Biruk was patient in teaching those in our group who hadn’t eaten Ethiopian cuisine the dishes and the traditional ways of eating the dishes. Definitely come eat here. When we visited, she prepared all of the dishes so I would recommend coming when you’re not in a rush.“
