Havana Sandwich Shop is a beloved Cuban restaurant near N Druid Hills on Buford. The black bean soup and yucca con mojo are flavorful and not too salty. Customers keep coming back for the Milanesa sandwich and a variety of Jarrito flavors. The Cuban sandwich, empanadas, and ropa vieja are always spectacular. The black beans and yellow rice with tomato gravy are rich and delicious. The friendly ladies running the spot add to the welcoming atmosphere. A favorite spot since 1977, generations have enjoyed the fantastic food, with a special mention for the Cuban sandwich and black beans with white rice. This place is definitely one of those "hole in the wall" spots. The Garbanzos soup special was delicious, and the two sides included made it a full meal. It is known for having the best Cuban sandwich in Atlanta. Parking behind it is plentiful. The dining room isn't fancy, but the food is fantastic.
