Paramount juke joint. Breeze Kings blues and dancing on Thursday nights is the hippest scene in Atlanta.
A time was had. I was there for the first show following the reopening (9/4), and it was a phenomenal night. This bar exists at the intersection of Old and New Atlanta. You have college kids vibing with 45 yr old moms, and they're all doing the A-Town stomp to blues music. Highly recommended.

Northside Tavern is a beloved dive bar with live blues music and friendly staff. The owner is praised for creating a great atmosphere. Regulars enjoy the Mudcat and live music, remembering the late Sean Costello. Despite limited parking, the bar remains a popular spot with fair prices and a welcoming vibe. The music is great, the drinks are cheap, and everyone is friendly. It’s a great place to play pool, with a solid environment and talented performers during open mic nights. While there’s no food, the crowd is welcoming and the atmosphere is unforgettable. A must-visit for dive bar enthusiasts.
