Had a special dinner date here for my birthday! They made me feel so special with such a gorgeous interior and attentive service. The food was the most incredible I ever tasted and that omakase was actually so filling. They were generous with quality and portion everything was amazing!! I definitely recommend the A5 NY Strip aburi and the Martini with the caviar bump!

Everything about this place was amazing. The ambiance along with music is very nice and comforting. The service was great from the minute we arrived and to when we left. As for the food and drinks, both exceeded expectations and were delicious. I recommend the 8 course tasting menu as it is their bread and butter. I will definitely dine with them again!

Amazing service and amazing ambience. Definitely recommending the 8 course omakase for the whole experience. It’s worth it! You get a5 Japanese wagyu and fresh seafood with dessert at the end. Immaculate cocktails as well!

Food was amazing and service was impeccable. The 8 course tasting menu and Sake pairing was worth every penny. Went for my birthday and they did not disappoint. Angela was the best. Very personable and knowledgeable in regards to menu options, Sakes and history. Compliments to the chef!!!

Went to Prefecture for an anniversary dinner. $185 later, the two of us had each had roughly ten small bites of food (no drinks, no dessert). So this is not a place to come for a meal... it's a place for people who have never been to Japan to feel like they've had an "authentic" Japanese meal (with none of the experience that goes along with it). They'd be wrong. First things first: the food is fine, and prepared well enough, though one piece of A5 wagyu had a tough and fatty edge that was quite unpleasant to chew and swallow. At these prices, one has a right to expect better than that. Second, my issue isn't the cost per se -- I have had many far more expensive meals, and some very high-end tasting menu experiences. I'm happy to pay for the extraordinary. But Prefecture is not that. In fact, there's an equally pricey sushi lounge elsewhere in Atlanta that I would gladly give five stars to, because their flavors, inventiveness and preparation are superb. Prefecture is just teensy-tiny pieces of expensive beef and fish prepared in fairly ordinary ways. Service was... equally ordinary. A slightly nervous waiter who appeared to have minimal training other than having memorized some extremely basic facts about each dish, and who seemed ill-suited to what's supposed to be a high-end restaurant. There are numerous steakhouses in town with equally good beef where a meal of the same price will actually be a steak, not a cruel joke on the gullible.

I love sushi Omakase but I've never tried Wagyu Omakase before so it was def worth the experience. The last time I had Wagyu was AYCE Wagyu @ Hyun in NYC lol. I went here when they first opened last year (late post as always lol) & had a great time. Service was impeccable with beautiful & cozy ambiance as well. Great place for a date (;

This was our first time at Prefecture and tried their 8 course omakase. The omakase menu features a lot of wagyu so I would recommend trying their a la carte menu if you think it could be too rich. Overall we felt like $185 for this menu was very worth it; we ended up adding truffle to one of our courses (+$20 to base price). After eating we didn't feel like the meal was overly heavy or rich. We definitely plan to return to try their a la carte menu now that we've tried their omakase menu. Our server was very friendly, the restaurant has great ambience and was perfect for date night. My favorite dishes are the A5 NY strip and wagyu slider. The A5 NY strip comes with 3 different types of pickles and they were delicious. Nicely pickled and paired well with the wagyu. Overall menu was delicious and we highly recommend giving them a try!

Food was 8/10, service was 5/10. Server was so inexperienced - aggressively upselling, "cool" as a response when we clearly didn't like a course, and sloppy in his exchanges. Weird ambience, so dark with fake flowers and at a $500 bill expected so much more. Glad we came but wouldn't come back.

Definitely will be back to enjoy the atmosphere, food, and great service.Parking: Parking was hidden for us since we’re out of towners but there was plenty of space and valet is also available

If I could rate Prefecture 10 stars I would. The 8 course chefs tasting menu was truly an experience that just kept getting better and better. I don't see how anyone chooses a favorite because all of the dishes were one of a kind and so so good! Angela was our server and she also was phenomenal. We 100% will be back. Their sister restaurants Norifish and Okiboru are also amazing, you can not go wrong with any of these restaurants!

A beautiful ambiance with very comfortable chairs actually lol. Service: friendly and water always full. Felt a bit pressured by some wait staff to continue to keep ordering additional items which i was not a fan of. Chef Sean is around and helps out and is always cordial and conversant with customers. Drinks: get the lychee vodka one. It's yummy without being too too sweet. The cardinal sin one was floral and came in a cool shaped glass. Food: did the signature omakase experience for $185. Bottom line is that i think it is overpriced for the experience. The food is well prepared but just not worth the cost in my opinion. The meat cuts are delicious and perfectly seared and the pairings are well thought out and unique. Favorites included the chuck center with the apple puree ponzu and the ny strip. The complements of the dishes heightened the cuts of the meat for sure. I was a bit disappointed because i felt that after the last wagyu cut, the last two dishes felt like a rushed afterthought. I was not a huge fan of the crab fried rice; there was so much rice and the crab was cold so it was an unpleasant temperature and texture pairing. The slider is decadent but borders on too heavy, especially to end the meal. Additionally i personally did not taste any truffle in the dish, only butter. Overall, i do not regret coming but do regret the price tag. Would probably not come again. Sister restaurant of norifish is much better in my opinion. Still need to try okiboru!
