Amazing food as one would expect. Everything was prepared simply and perfectly.
A few friends and I decided to check out Summerland for Midtown restaurant week.
Summerland is located inside Upper West Market. While they do have a parking lot, it is paid! You have to love Atlanta requiring you to pay to park to go out to eat!

Loved everything about this place — the atmosphere, the food, and the service were all amazing. Our server was so friendly and welcoming too. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Summerland is located inside Upper West Market. While there is a parking lot, it is paid. The restaurant is owned by the same chefs that own Bacchanalia and Star Provisions. The name Summerland is the same name as the chefs family farm. The restaurant prides itself on farm to table items. The space is decorated nicely and makes one think of William Sonoma. The use of neutral colors and green also gives it an earthy vibe. The staff were friendly and eager to help. They appear to work well as a team and willing to help each other out when needed. The food is so good. One friend wanted to rerun the next day to order the exact same meal. What stands out is the freshness. While the meals are basic, it is the quality of the ingredients that make this place shine. One friend requested additional syrup for her pancakes and another butter for her toast. The wait staff advised there is a $2.00 up charge for both items. The regular prices are expensive. For example a matcha latte is $12. The restaurant week special was for $20 and that included a frozen drink and an entree. It was worth it for that price. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all amazing. The decor is really cute and simple but clean and modern. Everything ordered was delicious. Next time the pancake will be ordered. It is early in the operation, so there are still a few operational kinks to work out. The sand which was decent and on par with what is usually gotten at Star Provisions. Almost any of the juice options are misaligned from a value for money perspective. The location is paid parking and this is a long term red flag. The space feels a bit cramped, and not particularly inviting or well planned. Everything gave hastily-flipped home vibes. Overall, this spot was a win. The few cons do not outshine the quality ingredients used in the recipes.
