The food is excellent and the decor is welcoming and cozy. On a Wednesday at 3pm the place was empty, which is a surprise. The Shrimp and Grits was absolutely gourmet... my third visit here and I will return very soon.
Great little restaurant with great food and vibes. The staff is nice. They have trivia on Thursdays and karaoke on Wednesdays.
Excellent lemon pepper wings and bread pudding.

The Local Tavern is a lowkey spot with a nice ambiance, serving typical tavern food that is good and reasonably priced. The menu is varied, featuring dishes like a thick, juicy pork chop with mashed potatoes, pulled pork tacos, the 007 burger, grouper tacos, chicken spring rolls, bang bang shrimp, wings, and a kids burger. For dessert, the bread pudding and the cheesecake empanadas, including a strawberry cheesecake empanada, are popular and often served with ice cream.
The food is described as wonderful, tasty, perfectly seasoned, delicious, and excellent. Appetizers and entrees come out quickly. The staff is consistently noted as super friendly, personable, helpful, and providing excellent, A1 service. The overall experience is excellent, making guests very happy and eager to return to support this neighborhood spot.
