“We just visited this unique restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meals of the pecan crusted trout and glazed salmon. Both were served with amazing grits and grilled asparagus. Our terrific server, Katie, was very helpful in explaining different menu items and cocktails, and regularly checked with us and shared with us the history of the building. “Ate at Mary’s on Wednesday, joining two friends for a catch-up lunch. The atmosphere was home-like, no-one rushed us, and service was quick and friendly. I tried the turkey provolone on cranberry-walnut bread. WONDERFUL!! Sweet tea… oh, and coconut cake - some eaten there and the rest carried home. Yum! “This place is the best. My mom and I come all the time. We get egg salad and chicken salad sandwiches and they are our favorite. My mom raves about the potato salad. In the past we have also tried the burger. The place is very casual. Indoor/outdoor dining. The food is SO good.“

“The person taking the order was brand new and shouldn't have been left on his own so soon. It took a long time to place the order because he didn't know what buttons to press.

This led to accuracy errors as we got some wrong items and others missing. They need to make sure an employee is better trained before leaving him to take orders alone.

“We just had the best experience at Taco Mac! When we first walked in we saw someone who wasn't really ok with waiting for a table and he was incredibly rude to the manager and the manager handled it like the professional he is. We were seated at our table and had the best service. There was a slight issue with one of our meals and the manager came over, before we even knew there was an issue, and explained the situation. He did everything to make sure we were happy and checked on us several times just to make sure. It was absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back. It helps to remember that people in the service industry can only do their jobs to the best of their ability and being rude to the staff or anyone, doesn't make them do things quicker or the way you want. Thank you to the staff at Taco Mac for handling our party of 7 with a smile and great service.“

(It was not her table) I got the Southern fried chicken, green beans and pinto beans. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked earlier and re-dipped in the fryer to heat it up.🤮 the green beans or cold. I went in to Cracker Barrel just for the fried chicken and was very disappointed. No manager insight I did have it taken off my bill.“

“Stayed at Big Canoe for a week and stopped in for a late lunch the night before leaving. Wish we had tried it sooner! Brand new facility decorated to the nines for Christmas. Elegant ambience with peaceful views. We both started with onion soup, flavorful, full of onions and lots of great gooey cheese. Husband had an awesome burger. Fresh brioche roll, thick patty. I had a Reuben on marble rye, it was loaded like a deli would have done. The service was top notch. Shout out to our 5 star server, Mimi. She was awesome and knows how to make dining a great experience. She would easily be at home in a 5 star restaurant. Super friendly, extremely attentive without hovering. When she learned we were visiting, she went out of her way to capture some great photos for us. All around great experience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the club and we'll definitely be back . “Some things that weren't immediately obvious from the Google review page that I'm adding: there's outdoor seating, they're dog-friendly (there's even have a small menu for puppy bowls), and you can call ahead up to 15 minutes to be put on the waiting list. I'd say the food is above average, and there are solid options - even as a vegetarian I had more options to choose from than just pancakes. There was a bit of a wait to be seated on a Sunday morning (understandable) and they only seated the tables that they had the staff to adequately attend to. We really appreciated the service; every staff member we interacted with was quick, helpful, and very kind.“

“Today 12/21/24, I went in to pickup my ham order. I had a bit of a struggle getting into the store as the parking lot was crowded. The young men working the counter were exceptionally helpful. Sean went so far as to carry my bags out to my car and he lent a helpful hand helping me walk. I was so impressed by the excellent service I felt compelled to write about it in a review. The honey baked brand is known for excellence and we always include it in our holiday fixings. I can highly recommend the Riverstone location simply amazing!!“

“Found my new Lunch spot! I’m in Jasper at least once a week and can never find a good place to eat. I don’t want to do fast food. Found this gem yesterday and I’m so pleased. Jade was our sever and did a fantastic job. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the potato soup and I could really taste the love in it. The decor reminded me of my Grandparents home in South GA. Made me feel warm.“

“The Waffle House breakfast, lunch, dinner, never seems to disappoint. Granted, there are some WH locations that are better than others, but overall the food is solid and tasty. The score here today is based on comparing WH with WH. The location I stopped by today was very well managed. Clean, friendly, and offering really good service. The place you want to go to and leaving happy. Food was prepared without any issues, the coffee was plenty and good, and I never leave a WH without finishing my waffle. A solid 4.8 WH score. Congrats!“

“The only negative:
The heavy metal music was blasting! It was so loud that my husband and I had trouble hearing each other as we sat in our booth. We eventually just stopped trying to communicate during breakfast. It was so loud that we might not come back again. When we finally left, we both sighed in relief when we got outside. Today is December 7th, so they could have had soft Christmas music playing for a nice atmosphere, or even just any music that was on a lower volume.

The many positives:
Other than the blaring music, the service was excellent, and the food was tasty. Our kind server's nametag said "Maw Maw". She was great! She took our order and then brought our food very quickly. She was very thoughtful and polite and checked on us several times during our meal. Great service and very good food!“

Parking: Best parking in town is free pavement no sink holes like Florida you go in for a dinner and come out to find out your car was ate by a giant sinkhole! Oh plenty of room also straight lines not like Alabama you know they mark the parking spots like a 3 yr old using Crayola also there's variety you can get sunlight or night time environment deal pretty good come visit!
