“One of our very favorite Italian restaurants - they always have the most interesting takes on different dishes. What's better, the menu is constantly changing, so there is always something new to try. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the inside has a very cozy, intimate feel. Extremely cozy - the seating is incredibly limited, so we would definitely recommend having a reservation. We can't wait to return again!“

“Great experience. The food was awesome. We tried the eggplant balls, carpaccio, pasta carbonara and pizza diavolo. Everything was so authentic, not greasy, perfect size. We didn't get to the desserts because we were already so full by eating all of the above. We enjoyed this place like we haven't had in a while eating Italian food. The owner is so nice and welcoming, so is the staff. I asked if they could lower the music and they had no problem with that.“

We started with the Apollonia Cocktail, a mix of vodka, pineapple amaro, lemon, and apple-infused black tea liquor. Light, fragrant, and perfectly balanced, it set the tone for the evening. I ordered the pappardelle bolognese, and it was outstanding. The pasta was fresh and tender, the sauce rich and layered, with just the right depth of flavor. My partner went with the steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, tender, and seasoned with just the right balance to let the natural flavor shine. The presentation elevated the dish without being overly fussy, and it paired wonderfully with the sides. This place delivered on every front: atmosphere, service, and food. The cocktails were inventive, the dishes masterfully prepared, and the evening felt special without being pretentious. It’s a spot that knows how to balance creativity with comfort. “We tried this a couple of weeks ago. We came early and got lucky to get a table because after us there was always a wait. Friendly service and the food a solid 10. We had the Cesar and Arugula salads. Both phenomenal. Then lemon pepper wing’s. Very moist and delicious. Then he had their version of a meat lover and I had black olives with sausage. It was a Wed and they have half off the wine by glass or bottle. We can’t wait to go back!“

“This place was great! After an experience next door we crashed here and was NOT disappointed. We were greeted and reviewed the menu. Ordered the eggplant parmesan, meatballs, pizza and wine. We sat at the bar in front of the wood fire ovens. Got to watch our meals being prepared and had the most pleasant conversation with the pizza makers. The meatballs were FIRE! They were amazing, wonderful combo of meats and hand made…AMAZING. The pizza was also just the best pizza I have had in a long time. They finish with actual Italian olive oil which took the experience to another level. Then oh whoa almost forgot about their dessert. We ordered the pistachio cake and tiramisu. WOW, the dessert was simply beautiful and perfect amount of sweetness. Everything was fresh and amazing. All the employees there were wonderful welcoming and kind. Such a great place! “Excellent food. Service was good, although our waiter wasn't as attentive towards the end of the meal. We were there about 20 minutes longer than we should have been waiting on the bill. But otherwise he was excellent. Only real issue was the valet - they only had one person working and it took a while to get the car. It wasn't the ideal last impression for an otherwise very nice restaurant and experience.“

“We eat here at lease once a week and they never disappoint! The food is always fresh with large portions and everything we have had is always tasty and has a home made taste! We love that they give you a huge salad with a pasta meal and it is so large we usually keep it and eat it for lunch or dinner the next day! We also get to go often, and they always are accurate on the orders which is so important on to go! They are generous with their portions and give tons of salad dressing and don't charge extra for every little thing! They also have delicious toasted garlic bread!“

“My family has been going here for decades! The whole staff treats you like family. If you go in, prepare to fill your car with food, cheeses, breads and treats! Quality food, A+ Service, and will always come back for more!“

“We stopped in very early on the way home, around 3:30 pm. The hostess was very kind to the only server working at that time & asked us to wait for 10-15 minutes, to allow her to catch up and supper staff to arrive. After a short wait that was no issue at all, our server, Daijah came to the table & proceeded to give amazing attention to my wife & I for the next hour. She offered excellent food suggestions which we partially used. My wife's lobster spaghetti and my choice of dessert, their butter cake. We began with the tomato bruschetta & it was perfect. My wife ordered a bottle of wine with the meal, handled perfectly by Daijah. Angelo came by & checked on the meal and service during the entrees. All of which were incredible. I had the wagyu stuffed shells, in spicy red sauce, which was phenomenal! Our desserts of butter cake & creme brulee, were also superb. Kris came by at the end & we were happy to congratulate him on a perfect meal & experience. We will definitely be back soon!!!!“

The ambiance exudes “European decadence”, from the intricate bathroom detailing to the delicate cursive script written inside the coffee cups. Moreover, I always love how many people are also here near midnight with a slice and coffee in-hand, especially on those random weeknights. Absolutely one of my favorite spots in the city, and it checks all the boxes to be considered a must-visit spot for anyone.“

“This is located in a ghost kitchen along with multiple other ghost kitchens. There is a sign posted that tells you how to order, you don't use the kiosk. Your food is then bought out to you. Ordered BBQ turkey leg, greens and yams but, instead of yams received Mac n cheese which was actually delicious so it was a nice mistake.😋 I would say they should not put hot peppers in the greens as they were so hot I couldn't even eat them but, they were good.“

“This is our go-to brunch spot for Virginia Highlands. Love love love the veggie benedict, french toast and bottomless mimosas! Osteria is a neighborhood establishment and we've been going here for over 20 years. Our kids were raised going to weekly dinner here and still obsess over the kids mac and cheese even though they're grown. The brunch is a great addition. The owner does a lot for the neighborhood.“

“Me and my boyfriend came here for the first time last night and oh my goodness it was so good!!! For appetizers, we got meatballs, and the cheezy bread. Meatballs were the best meatballs I've ever had in my life, and the cheezy bread was like a mini pizza! Just without the sauce obviously. For entrées, he got the chicken parm with the noodles on the side, and I had asked for shrimp scampi. Our server said It was no longer on the menu, (I saw it in a video and was hoping to get some) but she was SO amazing and was able to get it made for me!!! I wish so much that I got her name because she was absolutely stunning as a human and as a server. They eneded up running out of their vanilla Gelato, so we didn't get desert but the experience was absolutely wonderfully. The manager also came by to say hello and was absolutely charming as well. We loved the service and food so much we ended up getting a whole nother entre to go. If I could give 10 stars I would. ❤️❤️“
