Found this gem on our trip from DC to Florida… best Tacos I’ve had on the East Coast! Authentico Mejicana! Next time through… we’re pulling into Brunswick, GA! Specifically for Barrio Tacos!!!
These are by far the best tacos in this area. Owner is from outside of Mexico City i understand and that's where there are many many highly reviewed some of the best in the world. Food is delicious deep fried birria tacos with wonderful dipping sauce (think roast beef on a Sunday selling in flavor)

Barrio Tacos | Mexican is a consistently good restaurant with amazing food. The food is consistently bomb, and the street corn or the asada are recommended. The horchata will change your life. The birria tacos are probably the best ones ever, with amazing flavor like classic slow cooked birria, a good size, and served with dipping sauce, classic red and green taco sauces, and all the limes needed. The tacos are so amazing, with good quality meat seasoned perfectly and handmade tortillas. Everything is fresh and delicious, even the salsa verde. The Birria has insane dipping sauce. The quesadilla is gigantic and stuffed to the brim with real steak. It is like a hole in the wall restaurant, not fancy inside but with plenty of seating. It is kind of pricy, but the food is worth it. The customer service is joyful like familia and insanely quick. It is a favorite place to go out to eat, and people will drive 2 hours to get food here.
