I love this restaurant!! I’ve been coming for years but I really just wanted an excuse to show yall my pretty drink they made me 🥰!!
We come to Carrollton a couple times a year. We stop at the Donkey every time we come to Carrollton to visit our buddy Mark. It’s always great food and service. Waiter this visit was a pleasure to deal with. He was very personable and funny.

The Donkey Mexican Restaurant is a superb, authentic hidden gem in GA. This delightful place features a colorful atmosphere, with beautiful benches and tables that enhance the dining experience. The food is known for being hot and fresh, with generous portions that make it a must-stop in Carrollton. The Chile Colorado spicy beef plate with rice and tortillas is AWESOME, albeit a bit salty, and the flavor aspect of the food is above all others. The Margaritas are perfect, and the friendly staff ensures great service, checking in just the right amount.
The restaurant is accommodating to large groups, offering a variety of dishes like tacos, burritos, fajitas, and quesadillas. The steak fajitas and burritos are particularly praised for their taste, though some diners suggest they could be seasoned a bit more. It is kid-friendly with a menu that appeals to all ages. While it may be a little hard to find, especially at night, the clean and well-lit environment makes it worth the visit for delicious food and a great atmosphere. This place is so good that some customers would travel over three hours just to eat here again.
