“As someone who’s had a plethora of general tso’s dishes in the past several years I was very pleasantly surprised after deciding to try the one from here. The chicken was well cooked and filled with juicy white meat. Each piece was perfectly sized and the sauce had just the right consistency with combination of sweet and spicy flavors from the sliced peppers. Will definitely try again.“

“If you want good authentic Chinese food this is the place to go! We got the dry hot pot with fish, chicken w/ broccoli tossed in garlic sauce , green beans ,scallion pancakes, and the tofu . Everything was amazing , however we weren’t a fan of the tofu. The customer service was amazing and you can get refills on white rice .“

“Love this place. We eat here a couple times a month. Favorite apps are the cabbage and wood ear mushrooms. Other standard orders are the beef and cilantro soup and shrimp spicy numbing hot pot. Highly recommend.“

“Definitely one of my most favorite restaurants on Buford HWY! First I wasn’t sure if the chef was from Sichuan, but when I tasted a few key dishes, then I know he got it right. “I have been searching for a new favorite Chinese restaurant since moving to this area a year and a half ago. Even though there are many, many Chinese restaurants in this area, most were mediocre at best. Tonight, I tried The Pearl and it was absolutely outstanding! The best Chinese food that I have had anywhere in the US, including NYC and San Francisco. The restaurant itself is very nice and clean and you are immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess so the first impression is excellent. The servers are very attentive and fast and the food arrives quickly. The food is perfectly prepared and the flavor is distinctly better than other Chinese restaurants but the very noticeable difference was the quality of their ingredients. Everything, meat and all vegetables, seemed to be very fresh and very high quality products. For the best Chinese meal that you have ever tasted, you must try The Pearl!“

“I've enjoyed the food and staff at the various locations since they first opened the original in Decatur. I visit that location most weeks before shopping at Your DeKalb Farmers Market. The cook has changed a handful of times there so I thought I'd see how it is at this one in Global Mall. The chicken manchow soup is my go-to most of the time. It has changed much though still tasty in Decatur. It was as I remember it and it was a wonderful sensory experience at Global Mall. I do plan to make more frequent visits when I want this particular treat, though I did tell the man at the counter I'd be having the veggie fireballs next time. Lovely!“
