Bakeries near Cleveland

“Absolutely delicious baked goods. I tried some sort of fig bar and was amazed how something so simple could be so delicious. Idk what they put in there but it was amazing and so flavorful. The prices for pie especially are super reasonable. It was hard to decide on one. The coconut buttermilk pie is great and the fresh baked bread is soft and fluffy. They had always been closed during my visits to Helen but thankfully I finally caught them open. In fact it was Saturday before closing we stopped. Ate in our car and then noticed they would be closed the next two days and we wouldn't be able to get more so we went right back in to stock up. Really delicious! I will be back for that fig bar!“

“So doughnuts are great. Clearly they make them and were tasty. Building is old and rundown and they were doing drive-thru only on a Saturday morning when we went which means I guess they are currently always drive-thru only. Have to honk to get service. Dunkin was packed next door so clearly they would benefit from some help/marketing/improvments as their doughnuts are much better than dunkin. Will be back when we go thru, particularly now knowing how they operate.

“This was a nice German bakery and Cafe. There is a bakery counter to the left when you walk in with sweets and breads. To the right is a meat counter. It stayed busy with a line out the door but we arrived just in time to be in line just inside the door. We had the alpine french toast with sausage and coffee - delicious, filling, affordable. The entire menu looked appetizing. The host and server were both polite and friendly despite how busy things were. There is also a small area with gifts and pantry items for purchase.“
