“Since its opening, The Local Goat has been the go-to overnight stop on our I-75 North/South trek. Initially this was because the restaurant was next to our hotel, but now we stop because of the great food. Today, I want to give a loud SHOUT OUT to our waitress, Skylar. “We eat here often, mostly order Togo since having a mobile toddler and it’s always been spot on, from the timing to the quality. Today for the first time in about four years of eating here, things were not absolutely perfect. One time in four years. This evening I called in our usual to go order and was given a pick up time. I arrived right on time which is not usual for me. I’m usually a little bit early and have to wait a few minutes which I don’t mind to do. When I arrived, and I gave them the name for the order, they didn’t have it multiple people I’m not sure where the miscommunication between the person I left my order with the phone and the kitchen was and it’s not that big of a deal Everyone was super apologetic. The manager came and talked to me immediately took my order and rushed through the kitchen for it to come out in a prompt amount of time and flawless. I’m only telling you that we had a miscommunication experience to remind everyone that these people are human too and mistakes happen but one time in four years is still stellar odds and when it’s handled with Grace from all sides, everyone still leaves happy. it wasn’t the managers fault that there was miscommunication. It wasn’t the kitchen’s fault that they didn’t receive the order and this is a learning experience for the person who took my order to make sure that they don’t allow distractions for a table that’s not necessarily in front of them. I’m pleased to say that the issue was made right very quickly and the amount of time that it took them to make my order and get it to me less than the original time quoted to me when I placed the first order This is a wonderful establishment and a lovely atmosphere and we will continue to go regardless of a one off experience One bumpy encounter does not erase countless opportunities for fantastic service”

“I visited in the evening for dinner. There were not many visitors in the restaurant. I ordered the brisket with potato salad and beans. I was not disappointed. The brisket was tender, juicy and had a pleasant smoky taste. I'll be back.”

Update: Scooters lost my faith in wanting to get drinks made by them today because they said they can’t make lemonades as fruit and ice when I’ve had multiple locations make them before, which means I have to go to starbucks if I want a double blended lemonade, so might as well get my blended coffees at starbucks too. Also the girl I asked for my drink lined with honey and then she gave it to me mixed so I couldn’t see how much there was on the cup and she said next time ask for it that way. I’m pretty sure I did ask for it that way. Definitely not a place to go to get your drink customized to your liking easily. Whatever happened to the customer always being right and catering to the customers wants as long as they pay for it? It’s too bad cause I do like their blenders, but if it is that hard to get it sweetened w honey how I want it then forget about it.”

“Y’all have completely screwed up what was always great, fast service. Get rid of the stupid “app” line and go back to a two line drive-thru. The “app” line usually has zero cars in it and the normal line is backed through the parking lot. Not only is that making it take forever, but your order takers are trying to go as fast as they can to make up for the line and entering orders wrong. He read it back and it was so jacked up, it’s unbelievable, so we went through it again. When we got our food (and receipt), we were charged for an extra drink AND the sandwich had the wrong cheese on it.”
