“My favourite out of a bucket full of great restaurants in Athens. It's a counter top order but someone delivers your meal in quick time and hot. But the food is why you come here. Southern through and through. There is not a thing on the menu I wouldn't bring home for dinner or just can't wait and order in. We ordered Christmas dinner from the Preacher and everyone said AMEN! The fried chicken is mouthwatering juicy good. The Pot Roast is just like your grandmother cooked it for hours. The Collard Greens, sweet potatoes, black eyed peas are scrumptious. Just go there. “This is my go-to restaurant for a home cooked burger. The portion side is huge! Tasty crinkle cut fries accompany the burger with crispy goodness. The BBQ may be what they are known for, but the burger is the best around this little community especially at the price you would pay for a frozen pre-made patty at fast food!”

“I just want to share this with everyone who eats at this place. Yesterday me and My wife ordered our normal chicken tacos like we always get on Tuesday's. I noticed the salsa had a slightly different taste to it. So later that night I woke up around 3 am with chills sweating profusely all over. I've literally been sick all day from this food poisoning. My wife didnt eat no salsa and she was fine. I love this place and I've never had an issue until last night. So take it for what it's worth and be careful is all I can say.”

“Great local hang for quality homemade breakfast. Moderately priced, made like grandma. Sausage is nice and lean. I usually do ham/egg/cheese/tomatoe biscuit and a price of sausage on side. Killer. My girl goes for tenderloin/egg/cheese. Both never let us down. Also side of white gravy to dip is next level.”

Not to mention, while I am waiting for my enchiladas I can engage in the age old art of clay crafting via the small blocks of black clay offered in the quarter machine. I know what you're thinking...WTF is she talking about. Put some quarters in the little machine and you will soon find out.”
