“We had T&T cater our wedding on June 29th and it was fantastic!! The entire experience, not just the wedding day. It all started with Valentina!! She was so incredible that we didn’t even keep looking. She was our first catering meeting and ended up being the only one we needed. She was THAT good and so was the food!! Valentina showed us great communication skills and was always so happy to chat with us. We got a great deal on the amount of food, service, and drinks. They included bartenders and margarita machines. All of our guests are still talking about how it’s been the best wedding food they’ve had. At the end of the night Valentina packed up a to go box for just my husband and I, and it was exactly what we needed. The T&T staff were so polite and professional, we could not have been more pleased with our choice. 10/10 recommend!!! VALENTINA FO LIFE!“

“This place is so cute and charming. The staff is so friendly and engaging. We came here on date night and Savory will be replacing our usual Mexican restaurant we’ve attended for a decade. Our Quesabirrias (daily special) were delicious, guac and cheese dip were excellent and they have several fun non alcoholic beverages to choose from. All corn tortillas are made in house! Lots of GF options. Bathrooms were spotless and modern. This is our new favorite!“

“Great Mexican restaurant in this location. Am surprised how I missed going here for so long. They have stuff which I couldn't find in other Mexican restaurants around. Love their desserts too.
Had trouble with their Enchilada sauce. My stomach was totally upset that night. Might never try their enchiladas again

“Never heard of this place ,, my son and me stopped by ( I’m Mexican ) this was the most nasty food tasteless, I had tripa and barbacoa tacos ( barbacoa tasted spoiled already , tripa was nasty saggy not cleaned up , my kid had a chicken burrito full of flavorless beans and rice with a side of chip up lettuce, ordered Togo carne asada tacos ( dry meat no flavor ) they did not even put salsa

I gave this place a second try today Monday July 29. And was real surprised on how they have improved, the girl at the front real nice
I want a cucumber and lime drink ( was out ) she just had some so she let me try it , then later got the tamarind one , I ordered 4 cabeza tacos , real good , my son had green enchiladas he love them , I’m more hard to please since I’m a chef … but good job is improving

Had actually gone to a different restaurant up the street that's often very busy/popular and could not find a parking spot so we left. Driving away we noticed El Rey was hardly busy at all so we stopped in.

We used to frequent it back in the El Rio days but it seemed to change owners a few times and lost something along the way, we hadn't been back in years.

Anyway I'm glad we stopped in, nearly had it all to ourselves and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was sizzling hot and delicious, we had fajitas. I noticed them using the slow period to clean too, I smiled a little at this.

The menu is not the old school order by number type, instead it looks like they put some effort into offering a little more upscale choices. Theres a good variety and the prices are pretty good/competitive.

In the end customers may desire a more old school menu though, it's the only reason I can think of as to why El Rey isn't more crowded... 'cause it really should be :)“

We were a little hesitant at first because it is just a random shopping center but it is always busy and honestly have tried a bunch of Mexican in the area because we love it so much and IMO this is leaps and bounds above the general vicinity. We always get the fajitas, enchiladas and quesadillas! Oh and margaritas are good too!“
