This was the worst, most dried out food I’ve ever had. My husband and I spent $60 on 2 plates, and 3 sides. Tenders and fries were just cheap frozen kind they dunk in a dryer with NO seasoning. Green beans just taste like water. And my husbands “brownie sandwich” was just dried out pork they tried to drown in a “spicy ranch”. Save your money and don’t go to this frozen food fryer.

High Prices Small Portions. Paid for individual sides but they were small scoops put into the small sides of a dish plate instead of being packed individually. The flavor of the ribs were not good. Needed a lot of sauce from home, not theirs and the price wasn't good AT ALL. Just being honest.

It’s a shame that the I employers cannot open the doors as posted on the door and even when they do you still standing and wait because they’re doing the lobby that should’ve been done the night before from the night shift in my opinion I get the Bacon biscuit on the morning that I can actually go in the restaurant and get something ordered before I have to be at work without being late and it’s a hit and miss with the biscuit some mornings they are delicious some morning. They are so doughy that you cannot eat them. I really do wish that they would get their act together

Always a good choice for BBQ us the employees are always a pleasure to talk with in addition to the food. Younger crowd but respectful and pleasant!Parking: Parking can be a challenge as the space is small on corner & shared with BP Gas Station which was pretty hoping at time of my visit!

Normally love getting food from here, we always come here when family is in town as well, bragging about the ribs. However had a pretty disappointing experience tonight…Ribs seemed different than normal, more fatty, the dry rub seemed nonexistent(didn’t look like that black asphalt color like normal) smoke ring was essentially completely missing (wondering if the ribs were even smoked)The vinegar based sauce was extra watery and lacked any flavor like normal. Is this the new normal before I drop $60 on dinner again. Prices seemed to have gone up but food quality has gone down

Classic, no frills, delicious BBQ. Best in Dawsonville.
EITHER THE KITCHEN DOESN'T LISTEN OR THE CASHIER DOESN'T RING IT IN PROPERLY. I HAVE GONE HERE SEVERAL TIMES WHERE THEY ARE EITHER OUT OF SOMETHING COSTANTLY OR THEY JUST LEAVE ITEMS OFF!! THEN WHEN YOU TRY TO CALL THE MANAGER THERE TO MAKE IT RIGHT THEY ACCUSE YOU OF LYING AND SAY "IT WAS PLACED IN THE BAG"!! TODAY ON A MONDAY THEY ARE OUT OF STEW AND I ORDERED A SLICED BRISKET SANDWICH ON TEXAS TOAST. THEY DIDNT SAY ANYTHING AND SENT A CHOPPED BRISKET SANDWICH ON A BUN! WE ARE A VIABLE BUSINESS RIGHT UP THE STREET AND IF WE TREATED OUR CUSTOMERS THIS WAY WE WOULDN'T BE IN BUSINESS LONG! I WANT WHAT I ORDERED OR I WILL GO ELSEWHERE! CALLING ALL BBQ RESTAURANTS OUT THERE PLEASE COME TO DAWSONVILLE BECAUSE THIS PLACE EVIDENTLY CAN'T GET IT RIGHT!!

Got 3 meat plate:Ribs were AMAZING. Great flavor, good smoke, fell off the bone, but not mush.Chopped Brisket: Pretty good. Nice mix of lean and moist.Pulled Pork: Quite possibly the most dry pulled pork I've ever had. It could have been overcooked shredded turkey or chicken for that matter. Wasn't really even edible, even with sauce.Sides were pretty good. Not amazing but they had a good taste.

My buddies and I went hiking over the weekend, and we stumbled upon Big D's. It doesn't look like much; a hole in the wall next to a gas station, but boy was this food delicious. I got the brisket platter with mac&cheese and the house fries. Let's just say the food was so good that it put me to sleep (quite literally). If you want some delicious food after hiking blood mountain, I think there is only one reasonable place to eat and its Big D's.

For a catering order, my guests were fawning over the brisket.
