I'm always looking for a locally owned restaurant when I'm on the road and Big D's did not disappoint. We got pulled pork and sliced brisket which were both delicious. The collards were fantastic! Pleasant employees and quick service.
New stop now on our way home from wineries in Dahlonega, I call and order ahead of time and eat outside. Corn bites are my favorite as for the meats we all have our favorites combos are the best and for my picky daughter who doesn’t eat she loves the chicken

Big D's BBQ is a reliable choice for delicious BBQ, with friendly employees who are a pleasure to talk to. The menu features a range of meats, including ribs that are "AMAZING" with great flavor and tender texture, and chopped brisket that's "pretty good" with a nice mix of lean and moist. The pulled pork and sliced brisket are also delicious, and the collards are fantastic. Sides, such as mac&cheese, house fries, corn bites, and hush puppies, are tasty and a hit with picky eaters. While parking can be a challenge due to the small shared space with a gas station, the food is well worth the visit, especially after a hike or a trip to nearby wineries. Quick service and a welcoming atmosphere make Big D's a solid joint with awesome BBQ.
