If heartbreak has ever felt good in a place like this, it’s here at The Local, and I’d know best. This sacred institution has seen me through good days, bad days, and the crushing realization that my friends like my roommate more than me.
The wings? So good they made me believe in love again—until I remembered I was here to drown my sorrows. The drinks? Cheaper than my therapist, and honestly, more effective. The vibe? A perfect mix of “we gave up on renovations the same year we opened—1998” and “a place where everybody knows your name.”
It’s dark, it’s grungy, and if these walls could talk, they’d probably tell me to go home. But I won’t. See y’all tomorrow!“

“Had lunch here today for the first time. The Valet was awesome, the atmosphere was friendly and laid back. We had Juan as our server and he was spectacular! The array of oysters we tried were fresh and tasty. We’ll be back!“

“Just a basic dive bar; but my favorite in the area. Has a pool table, some darts and a golf game, smoking patio out back.
Parking: There is somewhat limited parking around back. Not usually an issue, but at peak hours, you may have to sneak over to the lot next door.. shhhh ;)“

“i was in miami for one night with my friends & Yadira showed me a good time!!! i had the mango smoke show she recommended. 10/10 service i need her every time oh and she stayed on top of the bartenders with our drinks everything was so good i love her“

“Yacht club is the electric old Atlanta dream of a dive bar with the best darts, drinks, women, and food in the city for the price. You can’t beat their $10 beer and shot combo. Don’t give into corporate Atlanta and go support your local yacht club. If you’re coming to little 5 be sure to stop here for a good time“
“Stopped in the Red Door Tavern during my trip to Atlanta after finding it on Google. Let's just say I wasn't disappointed!! I didn't catch the bartenders name but she was extremely friendly and on top of her job. Next time I'm in Atlanta I hope I have time to stop by again.“

“History: My Father’s band use to play here every weekend, (back in the day). I was with him all the the time. Band name was T.E.E, Time Effort Energy. I was very young. This place holds so much life value to me. So many great memories. R.I.P Jimmy Gates Sr. They were a Blues cover band.“

“The experience was more than I expected. My daughter whose in the Navy and stationed oversees came to visit but was leaving on Saturday so I wanted to spend a Friday night with her before she left. Well I was very pleased with the food and the atmosphere. Initially when we arrived I was ready to go to another spot due to it was dead but little did I know we were early. Our waitress I can’t remember her name was the bomb, I give this spot an 11 out of 10.“

“In from out of town but treated like a local from the start. Alex was amazing from the beginning. He was the first one to great us and through out the night was super friendly and attentive. If I was local, this would 100% be my local hang. Will visit again when in town.“

“Long time customer here at Elbow Room. Walking in here nothing but smiles and a warm welcome from staff and patrons a like. Bubbly vibe, Christmas feel, with friendly customers jockeying for a position at this ever so popular bar, with great food flare. We decided on a large “Pizza Supreme”. Real nice, baked right, in the later hours of Buckhead. Thanks Elbow Room, for nothing but good times, as an Atlanta destination spot!
Vegetarian options: Veggie customers always welcome, just ask for what you need..
Dietary restrictions: Tell staff what you require and they’ll make it for you
Parking: To park here is always a joy, with skill and finesse you always seem to get a spot

“We enjoy this place. The atmosphere is chill, drinks are cool, waitresses friendly. We shoot pool here and played darts.We haven't had food here yet so I can't comment on that part. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to enjoy a night out.“
