This was my first time to this spot and I was pleasantly surprised. I lived in Japan for several years and I absolutely love the innovativeness of this style of restaurant. I adore the revolving belt and the robots delivering drinks and additional food items. The sushi was great and fresh. I had several plates and I also ordered the chicken gyoza that were fresh and light and then I ordered the soft shell crab tempura which was HORRIBLE. No flavor, too much tempura breading(so thick) and the crab was mushy on the inside. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend.

Please avoid, I don’t usually leave reviews. Worst sushi place I ever have been to. The quality is the lowest I’ve ever had and it was still very pricy. I hope your favorite food is cucumber and rice cause that’s all it is in the rolls. Feels like a wasted trip, so disappointed. I felt like I ate dollar sushi. I think I would have enjoyed Kroger/publix sushi more and would have saved more money. Their machines don’t work that well, like when I order something, it’s like it wouldn’t ever go through unless I ordered it again 20 minutes later and then the old order will arrive with it? Weird. Had to call someone over immediately cause after I sat down they don’t ask what you want to drink or any condiments. I’m not picky at all and love nearly any sushi from nearly any place. I will never come here again and will tell people to avoid at all costs. Very misleading reviews. This place should have a 2-3 stars at best. Truly feels cheated to come here if you are a sushi lover.

I really want to love this place, but the quality and service have just become too inconsistent making it harder and harder to come back. Sad, because it used to be so good, and the west midtown location doesn’t seem to have these issues.

A few examples:

The crispy rice is 9 out of 10 times cold and either rock hard or chewy. The rice piece of crispy rice is supposed to be soft and hot, but Kura definitely batch fries them, lets them sit around, then plates them when ordered. They are never fresh for something that is a hot dish.

The seared nigiri is 7 out of 10 times cold. It’s supposed to be seared/hot - that’s the whole point, not seared an hour ago. My most recent visit I ordered one of the seared miso salmon and it was both cold, and incredibly rubbery/fishy. Sushi is not supposed to be hard to chew through like a block of rubber.

The salmon toro has a similar issue to the texture above, and is likely what they used on the seared miso salmon this time. Often the pieces you get have this rubbery texture that has to be chewed through instead of a soft piece of fish. Almost like they’re using a piece of the fish that shouldn’t be served like the tail.

The service is basically non existent once you sit. Waiters will walk past you with an empty cup, look at you and won’t refill or ask if you’d like a refill. If staff expect tips, why not give service that merits it? There really isn’t much else to do besides serve drinks and clear tables since everything comes from the kitchen via belt.

Wish management would address the issues. The staff turnaround seems to be almost monthly, and I really feel like they could earn a lot more in tips if the food was fresh and staff paid attention to guests.

Lots of variety in sushi dishes offered. Desserts are good as well, cheesecake has been my favorite one. Sometimes you get sat somewhere where all the sushi gets taken before it reaches you but they have little screens where you can just order a specific dish to come directly to you. Staff often take a long while to bring you the check if you do server checkout however.

Great experience, i feel like the environment was amazing, the theme was so cool and very different. The parking place was a bit confusing to figure out and the sushi was not my favorite. But i do recommend the desserts, really good.

This is my favorite Kura location in the Atlanta area. The sushi is always tasty and quick, and the service is great. I love their matcha mochi 😍

I used to love Kura Sushi, but the prices keep going up. For a family of 4, we usually would spend $100 which is okay, but recently it's more like $150. So we have started to look for other options for our sushi-loving family outings.

It's great fun when you want to try a variety of things, and you can sit down and start eating immediately :)

Great experience. Seated immediately. They will explain the process of ordering if it's your first time. They have rotating sushi along with options for special dishes, drinks, and sides. The prices were very affordable and the sushi was delicious. The Ramen noodles were not as flavorful as expected. But I would definitely recommend it for the experience.

This is a super great novelty Japanese revolving sushi bar place to go to. However, at $2.25 for ~2 pieces, it can get a bit expensive. I've been several times so far, but the quality seems like it keeps going down. Of course, it's still delicious sushi, but it was much more impressive and melt in your mouth closer to its opening. Definitely try it out at least once though!

2022 update: plates are now $2.90 each, but they have a cute robot that delivers your water for the table.

2025 update: plates are now $3.50 each! This review is starting to be like an inflation index or something. Cute robot has seen better days, but they're still chugging along. You now need to order a drink (can be water) in order to receive wasabi for the table. Sushi quality is just ok. At $3.50, you're going for the novelty and access to variety.

Love going here with daughters and playing games and picking out each others food items! Food is freshly made, tasty, seasoned well, and the staff is great! John C was friendly and helpful with suggestions last visit. Always enjoy our time spent here!
