El Dorado is easily one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the Atlanta area, and we as a family, have been coming here for the food for a long time. The absolute standout for me is the Pollo Ranchero. El Dorado is a Mexican restaurant known for its flavorful food and excellent customer service. The restaurant is always clean, and the waiters are attentive, striving to please every customer. A popular dish is the El Molcajete, featuring a spicy yet mouth-watering sauce with a mix of soft steak, grilled chicken, sausage, and cheesy quesadilla. Many customers say the tacos are the best they have ever tasted, especially the chicken tacos with corn tortillas and large pieces of chicken, which remain a favorite among regulars. Steak tacos, intestine tacos, and shrimp cocktail are also loved. While some mention that the food can be bland or the green chili a bit too hot, others feel the service can be inconsistent, especially when understaffed. The owner has been described as sober, sometimes making customers feel unwelcome, which has led some to choose other places like Pepe's Mexican. Despite this, many visitors find El Dorado worth the visit for the quality of food, and its small size and occasional wait are seen as worth it. The restaurant continues to be a popular spot for families and taco lovers alike.
